Wow servers are down every tuesday.....that is basicly it, you must have a crappy server if it is more often because Daggerspine and Eonar are never down.......

I wasn't claiming WoW never had unscheduled downtime, just responding to the claim that WoW had 400 hours of downtime each year with the point that scheduled downtime is completely different from unscheduled downtime and it wasn't fair to compare the two. I believe the 400 hour number given includes scheduled maintenance.

Of course it does.

Its still 400 hours compared to 30 hours... but ... I suggest you flamers just assume Ryzom to have a daily downtime of 2 hours just about when you want to play and then almost every day find out, that the servers are running in just that timewindow. If you're as happy about running servers during imagined scheduled downtimes as you are unhappy about unscheduled unimagined downtimes, I can see tears of joy and happiness coming from your eyes every single day from now on.

Carpe Diem!

A wise man once told me something: "Flamers don't die, they just go to hell to regroup. But when they return the force coming from reason and modesty will always be just strong enough to send them down to hell again."

Be strong folks and may the force be with you. :D

Just want to say I was waiting for this thread to register the game.

To the people that complain about the downtime, (not the lack of info about it) let me tell you that EVE online has 1 hour downtime everyday plus frequent crashes plus half-day downtime for every major update or 3 hour for small ones. That amounts to more than 20 days downtime per year but everyone in that community agrees they have the best costumer suport in the business and nobody ***** about downtime. Makes you think doesn't it?
