We are very interested in reading your feedback about the NPC bosses. Thanks and keep posting. :)

As it is now, when comparing the number of persons needed to kill one boss with the small drop at the end, we think that we could improve the drop so that the many participants who won't get the marauders' specific drop could still be rewarded for the effort.

For now, what we have in mind is to add several stacks of q200 elevation crystals in the pockets of the bosses. Feel free to give your opinion, nothing is settled yet.

Me thinks something better than cats could be offered. I think cats are played out. Maybe an OP mat might be better, most people are happy to gain those, like maybe erigos mats or the amp one. I know my avi has never had a chance to use any OP mat except Greslin. Cats would be better than nothing, of course. But, for the effort it takes to kill the boss, just not good enough.

Keiko catch me and il give you a rubarn :)

Perhaps have tokens given to everyone who attacked the boss(is this possible? or too exploitable?). this token could be exchanged similar to the Kitin Observers, this way people could choose dappers, cats or Op mat.

I take it these bosses are enemies of the respective lands so this would fit in as a bounty for roleplayers.

Could you also have a mission giver at these spawns, someone you can supply mats/crafted items to in exchange for cats or Op mats? Perhaps this would also lower your fame with said faction? Something like this i feel is being called for by many of the community , people are sick of Outposts being the only way of recieving these very valuable and useful items.

So did anyone else spot the new npc near the op craft trainers? (or its an old npc I only just noticed) I spotted one in Fairhaven, not sure if they are elsewhere.

Restoration Specialist - "Who are you" (from right click) gives the following...

"Greetings, my name is Bataillie, restoration and conservation specialist, at your service. Everybody is gifted at something, my gift just happens to be more valuable than others...
If you need any repair work doing, come see me with all of the pieces and I'll do my best to reassemble them. My services are known to be expensive but I'm the best and...the only one about"

There is also a Develop Skills option which lists no plans or anything, bottom left of the window shows how many craft points you have to spend.

EDIT : oops, forgot to mention, I went with a broken egiros pick in my inv but no other options available. Needless to say all broken gear will be stored for now

Is the first step in a new skill line? Anyone with further info please post, I'm intrigued :P

As to the rest of the patch, please add a tell function to the nice new shiny guild list window and give us back the appt/guild inv command. Its such a pain porting to my appt just to check which mats I'm short of, especially when I'm already in the area I need to be digging in, or just add appt and guild tabs to current inventory window.

NPC bosses sound difficult which imo is good. Something that is supposedly giving one of the best drops in the game should be nigh on impossible and require a lot of effort to get. If it was too easy and everyone could get their hands on it, well it just wouldnt be special. As with anything new there is bound to be the need for the odd tweak here and there. Look on the bright side, at least they are back in game :)

As we are "cleaning" the land from an evil npc, i'd love some "racial" honor points for each ppl helping...tradable for "racial" items, "racial" caracteristics (haircuts, tatoos...), consumables (the so loved/hated cats, flowers etc), like the faction honor points.

Just FYI... I am not saying I want the NPC bosses to be easier nessicarily... I just want the reward to be ... well there... for the people that have helped.

Not saying every person there should get armour either... Just something so its not pointless to them)

cygnus wrote: I guess that sheds some light on the new npc. Can't say I'm not slightly dissapointed as it will no doubt be the exact craftplans of the npc bosses, them being Marauders, Q200 plans, .... Sure there would be a possibility to craft those sets or missing pieces, you need the crystal afterall so it won't be ... easy; I guess that's good.
4 quarter marauder armour plans, make 1 marauder armour part (the french text they had on ATS hinted more at this than the english one does now); I'm not sure who exactly will be able to get the skill tho; either it's only up to the person that hands in all 4 quarters or available to anyone; but it said it would be pricy ;) Go go 2k spare craft sp!

From what I've seen, the current boss fights are the later. There is no tactic besides "Oh my Jena kill the bandits!" and then pray that you have the damage to over come the bosses health regen before he despawns and his henchmen come back to spank you.

That's not tactics, that's fifty homins running around like chickens with their heads cut off and whaping NPCs with hightened HP and regen.

Kudos for -content-. I'm thankful to have that atleast, but the concept that the boss fights, atleast Sergio as he's the only one we got very far with, are tactical or require keen skills is not something I saw.
Yep, as opposed to the"old" Aen. Yes, we killed her with one team that wasnt even full, which some might say is too easy. But then it required a skillfully assembled team, with at least 2 very high level afflictionists, damage dealers and healers, AND we worked quite a bit based on Infinitys technique, and still then it was not certain we got her, i gues 4-5 attempts in averaage were needed.
As i said to the german GM we tried her with on ATS, i prefer a boss that requires cunning to kill over one that can only be killed with brute force.
