Ryzom's MMORPG.com Rank Slipping?

... I don't think that listing really says much. An internet poll? like... why is Ultima Online still near the top of the list? in fact... why are there free MMORPGs near the top of the list? Skewed, to say the least. Ryzom's ranking on that list means nothing.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on most accounts friend. MMorpg.com is debatably the most prominent site about our gaming genre on the internet. Being on the front page there is probably the best advertising ryzom has had, and i'd like to keep it up there if its at all possible. Not to mention its all FREE advertising that goes directly to the target audience.

While you can question the validity of "internet polling"...as far as this one goes its not that bad. YOu can only vote once...and you can also RE-vote a game but you cannot vote twice. Since you have to be an active member of MMORPG.com to vote (aka log in regularly, have a minimum of rating of 30) it prevents mass voting of concentrated groups to fluff the polling. Is it perfect, absolutely not, but i cant think of a better place.

So while its here, its one of the few things that we can do to contribute to the future of Ryzom, for those of you who voted, thank you. For those that wish to, please do so. For those that dont care, well, no one is holding a gun to your head. But your very short sighted if you dont think that an 8.3 there helps ryzom at all.

They also lost 4 days of data recently you may want to resubmit your vote(s) if you did any in the last 4 days. A lot of us logged on to find we had been "erased" I had just earned the ability to rate a game hehe

Yes, I am only here because of the good rankings of Ryzom on MMORPG.com and I know there are many others here that found Ryzom the same way.

I also found Ryzom by reading MMORPG.com so I think it is very important to keep this great game in the publics eye. So to speak.
