That. :)

Voted "don't care," since the only "no" option involves something about fame that I don't care about.

hell no! :)

I got my first 100 pr levels in ToT without a PR tp. young folk today.... :p

The question seemed a little different to the poll, but a vendor selling tp's would get a hell no! vote from me as well - i enjoy having to trek back to SC or FD to get a tp that i forgot to buy when drunk the evening before

Nope. If I want to be neutral, and I want to go into the PR, I hustle my little Matis toosh to where I want to go. It just means I have to be better than the average scout to get to some of the 'nicer' places. *shrugs*

It makes the getting there that much sweeter. If I wanted access to the Teleporters, I'd kiss more Kami or Karavan arse. *smiles sweetly*

grimjim wrote:I think the best addition would be one TP in the restricted areas belonging to the Trytonists and accessible with a rite. Tryton must have been up to something down in the PR and this would be a great way of fixing past mistakes.

Make fame (civ faction) more relevent to new ency rites and so on to give the factions and civs more flavour while the neutrals coudl still get a combo of the lower fame level civ ones, less restricted but less specialised than the fame junkies.
Trytonists deserve no more access than Green Seeds, Corsairs or any other tribe, teleports are based on faction. Who would be giving these offshoots of society the power to make portals, the powers they forsake ?

Lets just allow a command where we can put in coords and appear there, that would make just as good sense gameplay wise.

at the time tps changed we all had a decision to make, go kami....go karavan...go neutral.... i chose karavan.... because i knew i would want and need acces to pr. those that chose kami we're also awarded this opportunity.those that chose neutral(basicly not chosing sides) were told the limitations of this choice.so imo we all chose what suited us best...if your not happy with your choice.... THEN CHANGE IT.

ps: personaly i like dt's idea... give us the power to tp ourselves anywhere

....

The reasons people chose Neutrality are varied, but given the penalties they put up with, choosing neutral is a bigger commitment to the game and Lore than those who just fall in with a faction and march along with the band.

It is a very childish reaction, that other people must lose for you to gain, and if they have parity, then you are diminished...

While I agree with your first statement, your second is offbase. There "should" be parity when you choose sides, however it is a 2 faction game. Not making one of the choices doesn't and shouldn't equal parity. I don't want to take anything away from anyone, but do not feel giving things unearned to anyone helps parity.

It isn't as if the partisans are "given" thier privilege to buy pacts.
It was earned, point by point. They are rewarded for choosing a side, and are punished simultaneously by they other side.

The "neutrals" take what is freely offered by both side. Each position has its advantages, though access to PR is certainly a choice advantage for the partisans, and likely the best non-RP reason to choose a side.

Still, it is a privilage earned, not arbitrariliy given; and the value of the effort is diminished if the reward is given without effort.

No, the access was arbitrarily taken away.
