[QUOTE=rothimar]It all depends on how well the two forces are organized and directed. A large scale PvP battle can be very wild and exciting, unless it's just thrown together and done in the "every homin for themselves!" fashion.QUOTE]

Without attacker/defender channels OP battles tend to be like Napoleonic era Squares trading off on each other.

Ranger Skirmishers are becoming more common and the odd mellee group charge to healers but tactical coordination is abit limited. This being said OP battles are alot of fun.

Quote DT
Lately the flavor for the non-"KA" side is changing labels and using different politics to try and shy away from being called Kami to hide this balance but anyone with 5 minutes in the OP owners thread will make it apparent.

Cmon DT, break away from that two dimensional mould your in you'd be suprised, the "KA" is not all the Karavan aligned players and those opposing one alliance holding the largest number of outposts are not all "Kami".

Kami and Kara are very convenient labels indeed but so are most easily thrown out 4 letter words which are often innacurate.

Hold onto being a diciple of Jena, you know the position I hold, not everyone can be labelelled by EP2 thinking, they have thier own agendas too, its just whats perceived to be convenient by some.

Diversity is what makes things interesting and provides some additional flavour to outposts, side A and side B is rather boring dont you think?

The original lottery distribution of outposts was:

14 Kami
11 Karavan
3 Neutral

Half a dozen large Karavan guilds and a few Kamist ones began with little or nothing. To see the whole chronology of outposts on Arispotle look here:

We agree exactly here man, as I had hoped to explain in my first effort. Currently IG there are 2 sides (plus a couple true non-grouped) as OP owners, whatever label they claim thats what things currently boil down to. If you attend an OP battle the faces on opposite sides are always the same whether they claim Kami/Karavan/Neutral... There may be neutrals and nationalists that particpate only at certain battles but it's typically on the same side so everything boils down to that lately. The shift to some claiming neutrality or nationalism who were formerly Kami does not change the balance IG as their allies and enemies are the same. Only the politics of propoganda have changed...

Diversity is great, but what is seen IG is 2 sides and one side is labeled the "KA" or evil empire and the other keeps changing to suit politics.

The reasons for this are pretty obvious, the only way to stop a huge alliance is with another huge alliance. If the KA broke up and the balance of power (Read distribution of OPs) shifted, I know for a fact that certain Guilds would chop and change sides depending on different factors.

Particularly nationalistic groups as currently there is only one race that holds OPs outside their homelands... *cough*matis*cough*

And Guardians of Jena in Gu-Qin Workshop, when the [thread=24945]Guildregistry of Outpost[/thread] is actual.

You completely missed what I was saying... But it's not like there's any reason to explain it to you, anyway...

It's too bad Outposts weren't introduced as more of a GvG feature, leaving the faction politics out of it.
