I share your view, Acri. I have no worries that Ryzom will become like anything other than Ryzom, though Taming will never be any part of Ryzom, Atys is far too wild a plant. Mekkies sometimes choose to do as we will because the stable-boy cartel built stables on top of all the meknip sources, establishing their monopoly on high speed mekkie fodder. I lack the cunning to do the same for gnoofs, rendors and plods, or I would be a very rich lady
Wish we could forage fodder for our mekkies - the first time I came across Superb Cereal I was sure that my mekkie would like it.

here is a real simple one. Let the hawkers sell picks and crafting tools, make it at a higher price but come on... they're hawkers!

A better mission system, thank you very much.
I came here after quitting SWG (original, eh?) and SoR seem sto have everything I used to like about pre-CU.
Except the missions.
I'm a crafter, and unless you learn to make loads of different items, there's only one or 2 missions you can run at a place. And as soon as you've finished, there's the exact same ones to repeat! Plus for those people looking for encyclopiedia entries, there's nothing to tell you when you've done a certain quest before.
One of the things I liked about SWG was the missions terminals, they gave grinding some reason, and could generally be fun.
What I'd really like in Ryzom would be random missions from NPC's, that way I might actually bother doing quests, rather than grinding the same recipie/mob repeatedly because I have no reason to do otherwise...

my own WIBNI..
if wearing the relevant title had a beneficial effect.
most people just get a title they like and leave it on all the time regardless of what task they are actually performing.. so we get delicate jewelry manufactured by a Destroyer, or armour made to measure by a Master of Torment etc, etc.. or just wearing lower level titles, eg a celestial Guardian using a Healer title so people would know what role they are taking in a hunt.
Each skill tree has maybe 6 titles as it progresses (at 21, 51, 101, 151, 201, and 250 ) and I was thinking that an incremental bonus for the titled skill would "be nice" but only if that title was being worn at the time
Maybe a couple of extra points of damage and/or stamina regen for the fighting titles ( or an extra hit per minute.. that would be significant )
Extra points of healing or sap regen on the heal magic, similar for elemental.
Afflictions are always tricky to know what to do with
Digging, again extra focus regen, and maybe an extra fraction in Rate,
/edit.. just remembered what I wanted from harvest.. additional mats in the source quantity..
and crafting - how about an extra half a percent across the board on precraft ?
So a master heavy swordsman would get 6 extra hpm out of their sword, and a level 250 crafter would have a 3% total bonus over someone (including themselves ) not using the appropriate title..

I'd like what I call a 'hissy fit' power, to chase off dumb herbivores from my dig spot. I don't wanna hurt them, I just want them to GO AWAY! *hehehe*
And I think making the titles worth more than just decoration would be nice, too; your fighting would be more effective if you're displaying your Slasher title than if you're displaying your Medium Armorer title, for example.
I've seen other ideas that were pretty good, and I second those. More storage is good, though maybe make mat bulk .33 instead of .25. Reason? It takes nearly 30 mats to make a 2handed weapon that may have 10 bulk, so, while making mat bulk at .25 would be nicer, .33 would be more accurate, I would think.

Personal I think it would be nice if we could buy drinks and food from bars and being able to decorate your apartments would be nice.
Oh how about when we draw near a holaday the towns have decorations but those are just add on I think would be cool. I mind is really on what R2 will look and be like...I can't wait

I´ll say it time and time and time and time again:
They allready gave you more storage space two times a while back.
First with the packers, then with the uping of storeage space itself.
I simply cannot for the life of me understand, why you keep whining for more.
If they would give you "more", it would still not be "enough". I´m absolutely sure of that. You´ll all just fill up your stores again and then start whining all over.
Like little kids with their mouth full of chocolat, that: "Want moooore coookyyyyys!!!"

Sorry, but it annyos the hell out of me to see this crop up time and again and again and again and again...

There will never be enough storage, yet it is indeed an issue. A small guild can fill a guild hall in no time flat, the larger guilds with outposts have a constant management problem.
Storage space is at a premium, yet dappers are so easy to make... perhaps upping the storage on guild halls and apartments yet charging an exhorbitant fee for this luxury is a good idea. Shalah/Bolobi/Plod packers with increased capacity for 250 foragers that have completed a rite would also be cool.
Long term storage warehouses with an "access fee" might also be a great money sink.
It is ridiculous that in order to run a sucessful crafting guild you must have multiple Guild halls and the associated transfer headaches. A fighter type rarely runs into storage issues, but most crafters do and the higher and more diversified you get the worse it gets.
So forgive me if I dismiss your whining cookie jar analogy, foragers and crafters have game play concerns too. They deserve to have an enjoyable experience just as much as the Fighters and Mages, and after all without the crafters the fighters and mages would have no shiny gear and toys

don't agree at all with that i'm afraid. I'm sure any guild that's owned an outpost would agree that managing the constant influx of bulk is a complete nightmare.acridiel wrote:*sigh*

All limiting storage does is cause headaches for players, it adds nothing to the game except pain. even with a ban on anything but supreme mats coming into guild there is a serious problem that requires tedious micro management and in a lot of cases multiple guild halls.
Allowing guild or apartment extensions in the shape of storage rooms really shouldnt be overlooked as a worthwhile thing to implement imo.
It's raised over and over because people want it/have issues with how things are currently, saying grow up because you personally dont have an issue with it is not a constructive response
and sorry for the slight flame, its nothing personal
