I've no definitive list at hand, but the list of events and triggers isn't open: only the ones we define and include in the interfaces will be available. At release there will be a base set available, and afterwards, depending on the needs, we'll add new ones.
I presume that seasons will follow exactly the changes on mainland Atys.
No, you can define the season you want to use; you can't change it during the scenario, but since your maps can be anywhere on Atys, the local climate can differ from the mainland one.
Is the weather under any control of the Ring Riter? Can weather changes be called by events, and can events be triggered by weather conditions?
Yup, you can control weather and change it at any moment when a scenario is launched. You can't control it through events though, you have to do it by hand.
Will we have available the full range of forageable materials, and be able to position nodes as we like? I'm not thinking of allowing materials or experience to come and go from the Ring, merely thinking of fufilling event criteria with meaningful Atys materials.
There won't be any foraging in the Ring at release.
Can an event call for a change to the static objects in a scenario, like the buildings? If so will that mean that the players in the scenario will have to reload the scenario, meaning that they see the teleportation screen?
No, static objects are placed on the scenario once for all, they can't be delete or added once it's started.
Can an event call for changes to extant mobs - e.g. change an npc's armour on the fly when he's given a new suit?
Currently, no.
How many entities can be active at once?
*lazy mode* I'll just quote my answer in a Q&A. :)

"""Currently, on the Alpha Test, there is a limit of 50 entities with the ability to change the entities dynamically through acts.

For example, if your scenario is the rescue of a captive princess surrounded by mean kitins, you may want to use the following entities: 10 buildings, 50 Kitins, 15 villagers, and a princess. It exceeds the 50 entities limit, so you can spread them between different acts, to always have less than 50 simultaneous entities, but still use 76 entities in total. It could give:

- 1st act (Introduction): 10 buildings, 15 villagers, 1 princess.
- 2nd act (Kitin raid): 10 buildings, 15 villagers, 1 princess, 20 Kitins.
- 3rd act (Rescue mission): 10 buildings, 5 villagers, 1 princess, 30 Kitins.

However, the Alpha tests have shown that 50 is often insufficient to build a more elaborate scenario, so we'll raise this limit significantly. The current numbers we have in mind is 100 permanent entities (buildings or mobs/NPCs which are present in all acts) and 100 mobs/NPCs (can be different in each act).

Currently, buildings are always permanent content."""
Do the creatures available for use depend upon the region type - e.g. frippos only in forest maps, no white bodocs in the desert?
It's up to you; there are no restrictions in regards of which creatures you can put in a given map or ecosystem.
Can packers and mounts come and go from the Ring?
No; currently, when you access a Ring scenario with a packer or on a mount, the mektoub doesn't appear on the Ring map; you only get it back when you return to the mainland.

Ehmmm.... What??

Am I right in the assuption, that you CAN change the weather from say Sunshine to Snow in an active scenario, but only when you´re Online as "GM" of your scenario?
I understand that the weather´s not changeable by Events IN the scenraio, but you have me a wheee bit confused here....
*holds on tightly* :D

Acridiel I think you're confusing weather and season. Xavier said that the season (Spring / Summer / Autumn / Winter) is fixed once the scenario has begun, but the weather can be changed at will (Fair / Rainy / Thundery / Sap Storm etc.).

Thankyou for all your replies, Xavier. Sorry, I'm sure I did read that part of Q&A, just had the impression that entity numbers hadn't been finalised. 200 sounds like plenty ... at the moment ;)

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before (so much to read) but, what happens when your hosting a senario you've made and you crash? (So your not paying for it to be running all the time, just when your online)

Is there a delay period which could give you time to relog?

What, if any, type of PvP mechanisms will be available?

Can you designate your Ring map as any of the PvP type lands we have now? Open PvP, GvG, FvF?

Any way to form teams and have them fight against each other? Based on fame or just arbitrary?

Either involving direct PvP combat or not, can you make competitive missions in which teams compete to try to be the first to accomplish tasks?

We know we can invite specific people to scenarios, or have them open. Will we have the capability to create 'banned' lists for our scenarios or to kick unwanted people from them?

"No foraging" really sinks everything I had planned, tbh, along with not allowing live updates of mobile or static entities. I just realised that the scenarios are really not a part of Atys at all, just a kind of ingame VR. A holodeck :p

Will mobs drop their usual materials? (Trixie already asked similar)
Can NPCs give out items or accept them, like the mission givers?
Can players trade? Between shards?
Can NPCs be attackable or healable?

I think I read before that different maps could be strung together like acts in a play. Assuming so:

Can we place portals, like those we see in the lakelands, linking different maps?
Can the players be teleported to another map by an event?
Can the player's position on a new map be specified and variable ... so that perhaps the new map is the same as the first map, only with different entities, and all the player's keep their places?

Edit: I just rediscovered this bit in a R² article ...
It is also possible, but not compulsory, for each act to be linked to a different land map. In this case, the players are teleported en-mass whenever there is an act change.
So long as an act change can be triggered by an event then this answers one of my questions above.

Will items like foraging be included when outlands come out? What point, if at any will items be transferable out of the Ring? I also saw in the screenshots of the demo that you get dappers, but what good is that if dappers won't transfer over?

When is the 4 day downtime :)
