While I applaud the fact that the mods would allow this thread to continue in the spirit of free speach (thanks for chipping in Souls), I don't feel it serves any constructive purpose. I wont vote on this because this is between the banned players and Nevrax, it has nothing to do with us.
I'm curious as to whether people are certain as to whom received lifetime bans. It's being suggested here that Fasinus and Kye received the same punishment as the other players involved. Is that information accurate or an assumption that people have made?
I also agree that this poll serves no one. The CSR have made their decision for each player based on information that they have in their possession regarding individual accounts. They have account records and can see exactly what has taken place. I assume that any questions that might remain after a review of these accounts were discussed between the parties. Furthermore, if anyone received what they felt to be a punishment that was out of line they can appeal that decision.

philu wrote:I have to correct you there Eugie cos they weren't the perpetrators, they were the victims of the initial incident. I'm not saying they're innocent, they got banned for a different reason didn't they? Or is there more that most of us don't know? Didn't they get banned for account sharing?
I think assuming it was *just* account sharing may be assuming too much. Soulsnatcher described the whole thing as a "sick and twisted" mess. That sounds to me like more was going on. All we heard on the forums was just one side of the story; everyone knows there's at least two, often more
I defintiely won't be voting in the poll. As I said before any punishments were handed out, I don't think any of us knows *all* of what went on so trying to judge the situation is just a bad idea.

As much as I appreciate Fasi, and I enjoyed his company in game for long, I tend to agree I cannot vote based on partial information. For what I know, with all due respect, Fasi may have had been hacking the billing system for Nevrax ang getting all the fish, and we just don't know -- not that he did -- I thought more or less a few of them had done the same thing, yet the punishments are not the same. To me, this clearly indicates that we don't have all the info, or that special circumstances apply (aggravating factors, too many warnings, etc.)
Also, this poll stresses the CSRs. We, as players, have the right of disagreeing with the punishment, as mentioned, but unless there was a mistake, or new factors were to be considered, etc. it's their call. Yet, I bet Souls had better things to do than spending a few hours trying to make sense of all of it, listening to all parties justifiying, explaining, lying?, begging, complaining, ranting, accusing, etc. having to take a hard decision, etc. without us nagging around. It is part of the job, yes, but goes without saying that he'd rather have these things not happening.
If Nevrax/CSRs were to change their minds, they would lose credibility. As someone said earlier some players not only asked for an appropriate punishment, they agreed with it and now they are stating that they don't want them back. In other words, what would they think if the "perma ban" was finally turned into a "soft ban" or even worse, if we learnt that player G was supposed to be banned but in fact he was allowed to keep on playing with another name, or another server etc?. that could be a funny situation

hehe so wierd you said that Ani, cause i know that 1 Player who was Banned did create a new account and first thing he done was come to mainland and start harrassing me, this lead over to Klients after i reported him, ( for the harrassment, not new account ).
so Personally in SOME cases the Bans that are issued should be perminant as SOME players only know how to behave a certain way, and one ban should goto all accounts that person has, as only the character is different, the person @ keyboard remains the same.

Don't know either of them, and don't really care whether I ever do or not because it doesn't matter. I support Souls and the CSR team fully in this. Their's is a tough job. Been there, done that, glad its not me this time. I voted No.

can we move on from this please
nothing we say will reverse this desicion.
both sides have lost players they counted as their friends but they aint coming back. It might seem unfair to some but we have to just accept the CSR team desicion

Yes please, give it a rest. It's pointless.
Decision has been made, bans are in place. Some may be lifetime, some may not. The CSR have made their decisions based on information that only they have.
Speculating on something you have no influence over and limited information on is POINTLESS.
