My complaint here is i've played this game for more than a year..i'm getting bored grinding and want new stuff..I CAN'T GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this could be debated all day. You say we have less other side says we have less.

It's just a game, go attack someone and have fun. Go smack another OP for fun, or wait for someone to smack yours. I know quite a few from the "supposed" Kara side that don't show up to these things, and I know quite a few from the Kami side that do the same. As well as the "neutral I am" crew. It's not about one battle, or many battles. Do you really see the Kara side plotting to take over the world?

As I said in my previous post. The dominant side at the moment is just as concerned about their dominance as the weak side. We do not want to drive players away, and we want good fights.

Good fights for 2 hrs is what Outposts are about. I must say it is a fairly reasonable way to introduce PvP without forcing people into it, or making it a gank fest.

Noin.

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHA you are a funny man...ok i'll go declare on your OP....do you think for a second that even if i got every single kami IG on my side that we wouldn't be so outnumbered that theres no chance to win?

OP battles are fun for you guys cuz you hve the numbers to win..what fun is it if you don't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning?

Since the most recent patch, Kami OPs have access to both of these.

I came across this interesting thread on PvP, winning, losing and diplomacy:

http://forums.f13.net/index.php?topic=4733.0

First paragraph is worth a read (given all the side-swapping and potential for departing players) but what struck my attention because it sounded so like outposts in Ryzom was :

"The rough outline of the idea I have is that there could be landed and unlanded guilds, in a world with PvP+, PvP- and PvP switchable areas. Landed guilds would have a holding, which they could build up and control certain aspects of, including the PvP switch. Additionally, a guild in a state of war would have a broad PvP+ status with other co-beligerents ..... there would be one way for a guild to declare peace unilaterally, and that is by surrendering their lands and becoming an unlanded guild"

(the 22nd post down by the thread starter - Evangolis) .

I understood that the mechanism described above was proposed to stop the emptying of the server, so it should be interesting to see if it works.

@bgraz : understand the pain... thought I was the only one in that position

Nail
reinforcing "the conventional wisdom that most PvPers don't want a fair fight, they want a fight they're fairly sure they'll win"

I suspect that when you approached our guild for OP mats you were most likely turned away for you poor IC gameplay and whining. Nobody got where they are without effort, I grind daily and it bugs me to no end, but I want "stuff". When you have something of higher value than what we have, you might be able to work a trade. If all you can show is an empty hand and poor attitude, your odds are slim.

OOC:
DT has traded with his arch enemy IG when what he wanted was equal to what was traded, there aren't many folks so IC that common sense don't rule. He would never trade with a sad sack that don't want to pay the dues on what he desires. It's a dog eat dog world... your either a chihuahua, a pack dog or a pit bull.

The only thing more pitiful than this attitude is the guy that switched faction allegiance because he wanted stuff. Like you, he didn't have the courage to show game name in Sig...

At the outset of EP2, there were Kara folks that jumped sides when they saw the advantage of numbers... we don't miss them.

My god, does this thread stink!... :P

boo hoo, you lost for once... get ooover it... do something about it...

-

Think what you like of me & my assessment but thats all it really comes down to isn't it...
Notice how none of this rubbish was ever bought up before by Karavan (pretty much) and now just because the tables have turned its: 'omg, we're not getting our own way, lets have a good freaking MOAN' time. :P
I especially love how the "neutrals" are kicking up a big fuss too... muhahahar, cracks me up...

It was a good, hard fight for the attacking phase of that OPB. Silly to have this thread go and screw it up...

i think you have me wrong here..i'm not asking you for a hand out..and i've never asked your guild for anything as i don't know any of you IG,but as a holder of one of the best things on atys..(yer OP) you probably think that everyone is looking for a hand out from you...i don't really care what you have I'm mearly saying i don't much like the direction the game is going and i'd like access to stuff that you are getting from yer OP by working hard for it..and not hoplessly battling for it

and as for jumping sides..i'm only thinking of it as on option..but after seeing how you guys really are and your pitiful attitude, i'd rather eat yubo crap than side with you

i love how much the kara gloat over this, well done you won an outpost with a huge advantage of numbers in a game where in large scale pvp being lvl 250 or 210 means nothing gratz! if any kara where to beat me one on one in game i wud be suprised (with the exception of anissa god bless her)

kara will within a few week make this server ****, guilds like TS and evo who have played fair i respect, melonie, OV and CoM you have ruined the server for everyone on the oposite fraction. You have won the battle and the war, great but if you had done it with equal numbers then i would show some respect as it is i show none, you are all a bunch of low ballers who have no respect for anyone else in this game!
