For a Guild that is Trying to Prove they have nothing to do with this Omega X,
Why then was there no-one from either OmegaV or OmegaX there to defend the Greenvale Outpost? Would seem logical to me and to prolly many others that it would have been in your best intrest to be there in presence to Defend the outpost from the People trying to Give your guild a bad rap....
Thats the silliest thing I have read in awhile... The karavan had a presence there, even though it was 2AM for the rest of us...
[edit]This neutral Tryker guild was being defended by Karavan (mostly), it must have been a Kami attack that got foiled and they turned back when their plan was exposed publicly.

Yes, facts
are facts. And what FACT are you presenting? The lack of OV presence at an ungodly hour is evidence of what? That they weren't there?
This thread has gone beyond silly at this point.
To all - If you have some evidence to present, present it. Similarity of name is not evidence. Statements by the leaders and officers of the Dragonblades and OV is evidence. You're choice what to believe, but it's still evidence. Everything else here is pure speculation and mostly it's speculation by those who have something gain by smearing a Karavan guild.
But I won't speculate on what that means, cause I have no evidence.

cept you forgot that they declared war on a Kami OP as well as a neutral one.

Another message from Haldir:
"Greetings,
The Order of the Dragonblades extends its sincere thanks to all the homins who assembled in defense of Greenvale Trade Post. We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of friendship by the representatives from over 20 guilds. This day made us realize just how many friends we do have on Atys, from all creeds and races.
While the cowardly attackers did not show themselves, other pieces of the puzzle of Omega X were revealed. However, we seem to be still no closer to unravelling this devious plot. Be vigilant. So many homin gathering together for a common cause against this threat has given us great hope for the future of Atys against the kitin. I hope the same level of cooperation can be shown in repelling the imminent kitin invasion of Pyr.
With deepest gratitude to all friendly homin
-Haldir, Order of the Dragonblades"

I've got less faith in OV than I do the rest of the Karavan force. Your blind support of such an honorless guild will get you all in trouble. Hope no one bit off more than he/she can chew. The FACTS are that the guild has been known on more than one occasion to be self-serving and honorless, and there has been no undeniable proof to the contrary.
[OOC]
If this indeed is not an alt guild, I'd like to see it's members post here with user names we wouldn't recognize. This to me seems like the only real proof ANYONE other than OV themselves could have.

wow slander from infinity , who would have thought that such and 'honorable' guild such as they are would stoop to such a lvl, OmegaV has no tie to any of this rabble, and are trying to keep our honorable face by not mudslinging in such a way as some bored folk might do, we also did not show up to help with the supposed attack because Oodb themselves said not to bother, and why ? pray tell would showing up to help aid in the defense of an obvious rouse help us with our 'reputation' ? we have stated ... we have no information of Omega x other than the fact we are not involved with them... but there are plenty of kami who seem to know quite a bit about Omega X and their allegiances... this post is not meant as a ploy, to mislead and disguise such devious plots from the karavan, we worship jena, and honor all homins/fellows of faith, we will not stoop to such guile as to use an alt guild for any such declarations, or defend our allies Op's with such tactics either... it disgusts me that such imaturity would be found so freely accepted on atys... reputation indeed, i would take that as an insult if it were from someone who once believed us to be friends. . . .

Actually.... Liquado isn't Infinity... we're just close relatives. He left to father the most fanatic Kami RP guild on shard.

Despite How my Question may have sounded, this is what I was looking for. As I stated in my earlier post, Im not out to Insult you guys. It just, from my point of View, did not make sense as to why a Guild being accused of Association with Omega X, made no visable attemts that Evening/early Morning, at showing the rest of us Otherwise.
and why ? pray tell would showing up to help aid in the defense of an obvious rouse help us with our 'reputation' ? we have stated ... we have no information of Omega x other than the fact we are not involved with them...

Why? Asside from the Fact that OotD, said to not show up. By not showing up, imho, it looked like you were either trying to just see how much "support" OotD could get, and gauge wether or not to bother trying to take the OP, and as such be in League with Omega X, thou. you have In my view possibly proven otherwise.
varelse wrote:The attack was staged from 2-4 am Eastern time on a workday. I do think it's a bit absurd to accuse OV of having a hand in this merely because the declaring guild had a similar name. They had nothing at all to gain by doing such a thing, and everything to lose. It's unfair to continue to smear them when not one of you have any sort of evidence that this phony attack was connected to them.
I was at Greenvale from 11:00 PM to around 12:00 AM, and as a result arrived at work at 6:30 AM (my normal start time) rather exhausted and irritable. I would not expect any working adult with real life responsibilities to get up at 2 AM to defend their reputation in an online game when they'd already been in direct discussion with the targeted guild and had satisfied the Dragonblades of their innocence in this affair.
And you are correct, nor would I. However, as you prolly noticed there were Several there who were in the same boat as you. Many of those in Europe were on their way to work when the "attack" was taking place but still showed up to lend their support. At the Time of my previous post Nothing was mentioned at all to me or most everyone else I know about OotD having told OmegaV they didnt need to show up. At the same time tho (devils advocate kicking in here srry) OmegaV has enough members that im sure at least a few Members were online and "active" and could have shown up any ways as a gesture of good faith. Now I know it sounded as if I was accusing them of Ties with Omega X, but that was not the intent and I do appologize.

Speculation mixed with suspicion, blame, and slander will not get anyone anywhere.

I only have 2 things to say...
Everyone I know in OmegaV, from the newest member to the guild leader, has said they have nothing to do with them. I know a lot of them ((I'm in Ventrilo with them all day long)), and statistically at least one of them should have let his guard down or should have been careless and reveal Omega X was an alternate guild if that was the case.
Secondly, if no OmegaV were present, I don't see anything behind it. Noone is forced to do certain things ((it's still a game folks)) and after being assured by the defending guild their help was not needed, it makes sense not to waste precious time on it ((for those few that were actually on, and not kept away by real life)).
In my opinion, some people are more eager to twist this awkward situation to their advantage, rather than seeking the truth.
((And RP is no excuse for false accusations and the like. If you have something to say, say so, but don't cover it up as RP.))
Greetings,
