I understand your point and continue to disagree with it in the context of this thread. But we've both made our points, so... 'nuff said.

Here's the thing, I did state in my first post that the more imporant issue was the stealth nature of this. Undocumented change is frustrating.

The original documented TP changes were annoying to deal with when they first happened, but at least it was documented, so we (my guild and I) coped with it together. Now I'm hearing (haven't gotten into game yet) that it's changed again, but this time we don't know what to expect. We just know that some of the TP's we were told were going to work are not working as stated.

I don't really understand why we (not just you and I, Rushin, but lots in this thread) are debating whether this change is good or not. If Nevrax had said "hey, this change is coming on such and such a patch", then debating it makes sense. We don't even know if it's intended and we're going to debate whether it's good or not? That's a bit premature.

The issue to me is this: Is this intentional or not? If not, fix it. If yes, why are we still getting stealth changes without any patch notes? (not to mention, without any story to back it up) As one of the original posters said, these TP's were working as they were supposed to just this weekend.

Heresy! Burn him at the stake! He's a witch! We are forum posters, good sir, and as forum posters, it is our job to transform innocent bits of information into sweeping tidal waves of controversy and dissent!

Rabble, rabble, rabble....

LOL :D

Thanks for that. I needed the laugh.

And, uh, it's pretty cold here this time of year, so the burning at the stake might not be so bad.

If you're Fyros or Zorai and attempting to go Kara, then you're going against the ways of your people and it should be a challenge. You turn your back on your people and their religion, they return the favor.

Let's make something clear, i made a new alt recently, a Tryker, that Tryker char was by default neutral, with +10 karavan, and -10 kami fame, in other words, had to somehow gather 20 karavan fame before being able to use kara TP's, which, obviously, takes time.

As a neutral player, I had learned to cope with the TP restrictions imposed upon us - I wasnt happy about them, but I was learning to deal with them. Learning which arbitrary TPs would sell tickets, running across regions to catch up with friends and hunting teams, party wipes in arms reach of an unusable TP..
But now I hear the available TPs have changed again ?
Expletives swallowed due to rising sense of futility.
Do the Karavan and Kami not understand about persuading and enticing people to their cause? Are they so simpleminded they cannot even provide a service to neutrals in the hope of improving that neutrals attitude towards them ?
Apparently not. Pure, Hardline, Unadulterated Bigotry..
"we dont like your kind round here..."

Annoying and frustrating and as it is not advertised yeah I do hope it's a bug.
This is a game to play for a long time therefore I make plans for a long time in advance, somethign like using a tp or not using it changes a lot these plans, implies completely different levels of action and boredom, achievement or dissatisfaction.

I don't need tps in a certain place (or at all if you want) - the game is complex enough to give me fun with or without tps - but I find having the efforts of a month wiped without any warning highly disagreable.

I cant buy a Kami ticket in Thesos or even Pyr - my own capital! I might not be the model Fyros citizen but if Dexton doesn't do something about this he's going to have an uprising on his hands. Maybe if a few rangers get eaten by kitin he'll start to listen to reason...

As for not being able to teleport to Oflovak's Oasis that's even more restrictive than if I was a confirmed Karavan. Guess I can add the Fyros Empire to the list of people who hate neutrals. I would move but I hear it's as bad in the lakelands and possibly the rest of Atys.

(OOC: this HAS to be a bug. The 'challenge' of old-style reduced tp's is one thing this is another. If this is how things are intended then it does seem we are being subtly (stealthily) but firmly pushed away from being neutral.)

This isn't very fun at all ... it cuts the number of usable TPs for neutrals in half (going to 0/0 exactly is unrealistic), and does worse in a local sense. Are we now expected to do part of a trek every time we wish to go to another land? Given how my guild is, I'm working on faction anyway, but this is definitely a problem...

Just goes to prove what I've been saying! Homins must unite to wrest the secret of teleportation from the hands of the oppressors. Through their pretence of war with each other and their lies about the outposts, the Kami/Karavan conspiracy is slowly but surely separating and isolating small groups of homins so that we cannot work together to throw off the yoke of slavery. They fear us, and this refusal to sell pacts to non-aligned homins is a measure of the depth of their fear. They think to keep us confined and subservient, but we will not submit!
