Your deity can compensate for a lack of construction materials, though this will be limited to but a few temples, only the temples that have been most completed so far will benefit from the intervention of your deity. Also the faithful ones have interest to work on the most completed temples
I wonder how many 'a few' will be.
2, 4, 5? Who knows?

Is the time reached, that Jenas light no longer shines on us?
(or Ma-Duks if you like)

more temples mean more chances at spreading their belief, mean more followers, mean more power.

Is that an official listing of total scores or did you just add harvest, craft and fight scores together? Because I don't think the three different scores are comparable (as evident by the highest crafter having 130000 points, the highest harvester 45000, and the highest fighter 5000).

Upon review my champions list is crafter bias... I went for an oversimplification of the one with the most total points wins, which assumes that all points are of equal value.

Not included in the above but I originally was attempting to quantify why the Kami, who seem to have everything running in their favor are actually behind on the construction of their temples. The only thing I can come up with is that the Karavan are well-rounded, crafters and harvesters covering a broader range, where the Kami players are top heavy. Again I'm probably making wild assumptions. Could be that the Zoraï are simply taller and can reach the mid and upper sections of their sanctuary and the Pyr site supervisor has the blue prints upside-down. :D

Good thing I'm not the one handing out the awards!

They all ready have altars all over the place and Karavan just stand about mute. If they cannot manage to spread the word, evangalise, or recruit followers that way the odd temple wont make any difference. Sure people will use the temples if they have something usefull in them but the same applies to buying at the shops. I don't have to believe in the world view of the merchant to buy their products.

 the representatives explicitly stated that the temples were there not only to spread wisdom and knowledge, but also to spread the religion itself.

Because the Devs like to "Boost" (cheat) the Matis , maybe they need that for the storyline ? but it suxs for players being able to influence Atys

Yeah cos they want the Matis more powerful, so that they can do more PvP. The Matis are power hungry and want to invade us all. ;)
