Therefore, basically, it means agreed by both parties.
Consensual sex is making love.
Non consensual sex is rape.
The argument from one side of the PvP argument is that by entering a PvP area you are automatically consenting to being ganked, trashtalked and so on.
The argument from the other side is that so long as peaceful or third-way options are not provided and that unique content (of various kinds) is only available through exposure to PvP, with other styles of play not rewarded so much - if at all - then because of that consent is not automatic as participation is, in effect, forced - if you want to participate, maintain a good character and remain a significant part of the game.
This is particularly telling in Ryzom as it seems to be shifting gear suddenly and abruptly from one type of game to another, which is why we have the strong disagreements we do. Having at least two very different game cultures.
