If the only purpose of outposts is to fight over them, we're all getting gyped.

I did and it gives me some hope we're not stuck with the "current dumbed down version" forever...

The consumables argument is ridiculous, first we have heard of any so it is totally made up. Second it puts the greater playerbase at the mercy of an elite few pvpers for much content even if it does exist.

"Current version" tends to quickly become "Permanent version" if there aren't specific plans to do otherwise.

There have been a lot of valid complaints about outposts and I really hope Nevrax wakes up soon . The way they're ignoring player response about Outposts and PvP reminds me a lot of how they ignored player response with Patch 1 and railroaded it through. Plus what is going on with this obscene amount of focus on PvP?

So have some freaking imagination would you? Replace consumables with whatever indirect benefit that the outpost could generate, and imagine working together and sharing it.

I am so sick of the OMG this is not fun I am a pessimist, blah blah blah. I do my best to attemt to see your side and get to a better solution, but all I hear from the majority of the non-PvP extremist is this SUCKS, this is STUPID, no one wants this, not constructive solutions or discussions!

I still do not believe that you have to end up PvPing to enjoy outposts if you work everyhting out with your friends / enemies. Do you think ou have to wait for the words "Diplomatic Outpost" or some game mechanic that is yet to be designed to accomplish what you are looking for? Do you think the great majority just want to run around trying to take everyones outpost? NO.

Just as the PvP arguments address the few we call gankers or boasters, your (everyone who makes it) argument here is that the few will spoil the fun for everyone else especially the not so keen on PvP folks. I think just the opposite is true, these "I am a PvP god" folks if they try to gang up on passive folks will likely find themselves attacking a guild and not even fighting them, but fighting the folks who would come to their aid.

This game has turned out (through the efforts of all of the characters that play it) to be about helping each other, and enjoying friendships, teaching new folks, and enjoying everyone's company. Do you all forget this? All you can do is stare blindly into a feature of the game that you HATE.

Well, I dislike that my afflictions are so hard to level, but do I run around screaming and screaming about it to the point that I do not enjoy the game. There is so much fun here, and you have to find your fun and enjoy it. The whole game is not for everyone, if this is a suprise to you after playing for a few months I don't know why.

I just wish you that you would take a deep breath and realize when you are just screaming about how afwul something is it does not help, and go back to being constructive. Nevrax is one of the very very very few companies that will listen to you on this level and make changes that are positive.

If you just whine and cry, I fear that the real points that you do have will never come out of your brilliant minds and in the end I too will suffer because you have become blinded by your rage and failed to make constructive points and contribute to the solution.

You are all making me sad :( , I remember talking with all of you and working out solutions that would make everyone happy. If you are that upset, you should go away for a bit, and come back rejuvinated and ready to make everything better.

Noin. (hoping all of my friends can see my point and not get enraged more)

I see your point, Noin. I do not expect the introduction of outposts to crumble the foundation of players working together that we've all come to expect and enjoy.

My problem is this:

With people having waited since the beginning of Atys time for the amazing outposts feature, everyone wants one. They want to build it, live in it, call it home and discover all their intricacies.

While being shared some unknown bonus from an ally (if it is possible) would be nice, there still will be only 28 guilds that actually own an outpost, no matter how you cut it. Maybe a few more if fighting occurs and some exchange hands back and forth.

That leaves a very large portion of the playerbase with no way to experience them except in battle, so someone else can own one.

"Well gang, we've been waiting a year to get an outpost. But we're not very rich, high level, or large, so we're gonna have to go without. But Guild Z over there is big and has one, and if we participate in some PVP which we don't like to help defend it they'll give us some healing potions. I love outposts!"

How are people supposed to enjoy that?
