yeah, i'm fine with "able to see them" solution, but it's bad for them to nuke poll results (i dont care that NO vote won only with 1 vote).
to me it means that "NO" is not the answer they want to hear and future so-called "poll's" have no real meaning to me.
like this gonna ever happen, but only solution i see that you can "vote" only when you have char lvl 100+ on given race/gender. vote needs to be in-game (i suppose ingame browser can handle little "YES/NO" poll)
with the poll and the result as it was there were no good resolutions of the whole thing. they'd either please one half of the players and

well.. just a little, but did you forgot this thread ?

edit: yep, they have right to change their mind and broke their promises (check first post) or did i miss something again...
only thing there is, it to wonder what would have happened when "YES" would have won with 1 vote. we'll never know now.
oh well...

Exactly, what's the point in voting if they just ignore it because they didn't like the result? I don't think I'll bother next time.

And I've suggested a solution that could please EVERYONE. Keep both and give us a choice permanently, not just as a hack.

That's assuming we don't get a similar result on all the polls.

I think..
Explaining to these people isn't worth our effort.. lol.
Keep up the good work, Nevrax.. The Normal(ish) people are behind you.

It's OK 'these people' aren't listening to you anyway. Go spam another thread.

No only just under 50% are. Just under 50% aren't either. And a small percentage don't care.

I' m not sure why your opinion would be ignored honestly. Will they patch the animations live permanently? No they won' t; everyone can enable/disable them at their own desire for a while before they dissapear.
Also remember that the majority of no-voters only voted 'no' because they didn' t like some of the animations, not all. And the fact that the animations can be more carefully studied ingame than in a small movie clip, makes this an opportunity to pinpoint for everyone what they exactly like and dislike about them.
So you aren' t being ignored; you are given the chance to provide better feedback because they want to know why you voted 'no'.
I' m personally very happy about this and i' m sure many others are, even the majority of those that voted 'no' like I did.
I just wished we had had the chance earlier on to vote for each racial animation separatly, instead of a black and white poll. Even if it meant delaying the patching of all the animations I liked till they were all 'fixed'.

You have no idea how incorrect that is do you lol.
50% didn't like
some and maybe all of the animations. This caused them to vote 'no' for
all of them as this was the only option available at the time. Now they have a choice between each.. woohoo!
I'll enjoy being proven right when this new poll happens.

Actually I was using the same sweepingly inaccurate generalisations as you were.

Right about what exactly?

ehh... this is about how they handled things. they promise one but do the other.

Referendum Results - Racial Animations Put On Hold
The racial animations referendum ended yesterday evening, with a short advantage to the
'Keep the current animations' option (48.81% against 48.58%).
As promised, we are thus removing the racial animations from the next
patch. We'll gather your feedback and keep it at hand, to use it when
we'll have time to work on the new animations again.
Thanks to all participants - and to the 3D team for its good work. They
would probably appreciate a bit of encouragement on your part now!
now answer simple YES/NO question (nothing like "yes, but they had good reason")
"did they broke their promise?"
(no need to answer out loud)
thats all this is about. they say one but do completely opposite.
they really need to make 2 weeks delay for public announcement's in the future, so they are not forced to broke their promise (or really, really grind their PR skill)
