I think R2 will be the next big thing, and quite rightly too :)

After that?

BEANIE YUBOS!

They'd be rolling in cash, plus we could then play yuboball for REAL at the RL events.

I started out as a big fan and fan-boi at times even, i always defended nevrax patches and always thought what the excuses could be and used that as arguments on how things are going the right way, in time my view has shifted to be a sceptical one, but im like Fox Mulder, i do want to believe i just dont think i can anymore.

A lot of it is also due to the game it is now is is Ryzom without most of the features that originally made me exstatic about the game. After a year its basically still the same game as in last weeks of beta, give or take a few tweaks here and there. Basicaly its more the engine then the game i originally read about.

On the subject of outposts, when and what happened to the guildhall extensions? guild trainers? guild missions? additional guildhall rooms?

Oh my i sound so negative/disgruntled but i dont want to kick anyone in the face, im really just explaining how i feel and where it comes from.
You pretty much summed up my feelings too. I used to defend them but not any more. They have let me down too many times.

I love this game, have done from day one, but I find myself growing more and more disillusioned with Nevrax and their ability to deliver on their promises. Yes the game has potential but Nevrax are not delivering on that potential IMHO.

On the subject of delays and more testing - while I applaud the intentions to reduce the risk of introducing bugs, I don't see that happening. They claim to thoroughly test things and STILL manage to have bugs. I refer you to the last patch when the game was down for hours longer than intended because they missed something and had to fix it. Same with the current stuff on ATS, that's supposed to have already been tested but, reading the bug reports on the ATS forum, there are loads of bugs that really should have been spotted!! Half the new stuff they've introduced on the ATS recently doesn't work. For example, the ability to just hit enter on the shard selection screen - didn't work when they patched it to ATS. How can that be possible if it was tested properly??!!

I'd prefer a BEANIE OCYX!! Or a stretchy Kipee! That would be cool. :)

Mee too. But i think that ryzom ring will be (if done correctly) a big throw. Simply look at the tons of mods available for multiplayer games like quake, half life, unreal , .... It's something from the players for the players and it often outstands the original game. AND it is made with "love in the game" , which i'm not sure is true for nevrax devs.

That's true. I just think that people who do this for fun and not because they have to do it are now exactly what this game needs.

I really can't wait to get my hands on R². Im more waiting for this than for Outposts

At first i thought the ide of a test server what could clear out the bugs and do player testing was a great ide but after a year seeing the poor managmet of the ats form the devs i have lost all respect for it. (no disrepect to the players doing the testing, they doing a great jobb)

No hard feelings for Secor what doing the guide thing for free, allways have had big respect for those willing to use their free time helping others.
But i don't think its quite affective to have only a guide doing the works as all info need to go paste to many peaple to get to the devs.
And as the diffent servers have their own webmaster filtering what they think is inportent to the devs i feel very litle come to the right place at the right time.

And how can you test the real thing if all char are fixed on lvl 150? In all skills.
On the live server you have the normal range is form 100 to 230?
Much is far form good to do proper testing.
Their is no guilde lines how testing should be done. their is no dates to properly test team play (except those dates made by players now and then )

The only way to report a bug is in the forum and then you need to search if the bug is reported before. (abit same on live only you need to wait for gm to tell you" *Yes yes yes we know and no we don't know if its a bug or a feature, but thanks for letting us know*)

And to give all access to the ats without proper quide lines how we should proseed with testing with a bunch of players running around don't knowing what to do give me shivers.

All this stalling have been spreading so far out now i have heard talk like
"Ryzom? na.. heard their is to much still no finshed after a whole year of false promises and strange patches puching players out"
Im not kidding or trying to black paint it this is what you easy can find on many forums or talks in chat's

God this game is good and could been one of the best if only....
