Well guys, once again this post is going completely off topic. Keoni asked for clarification on the OmegaV stance and both Thara and I gave that clarification along with an explanation for why we chose to stand our ground on certain issues. This was not an open invitation for the usual folks to debate PVP. As far as I am concerned, there is no debate. It is an integral part of the game and as so, we will make the choice to participate when and how we like as is our right as subscribers. You (meaning those opposed) have the same right not to participate. Nobody is forcing anything on you, as you do not have to go to a place where you know there is a good chance of conflict. If you want to play as a goodie two shoes care bear tree hugger, the other 95% of the world is absolutely ready for your type of gameplay, without any potential chance of anybody "forcing" anything.

I really don't understand where there is room for any more debate. If you have a problem, write your congressman.

Audrey, I was trying to state my views on PvP in my earlier posts. But with comments like this, I can see why some ppl hate PvP.
What your purpose for killing ppl in PR? Is it to secure a node or maybe that person is a sworn enemy (RP)? It sounds like you do it just for the pleasure. Dropping a low-level digger in focus gear is not PvP, it's ganking. If you have an urge to kill, there was the recent gladiator event. Did you participate in that?

Wow, not gonna quote cause everyone I'm talking about will know I'm talking about them. I'm also going to make a small disclaimer that here, I do not represent Infinity, however I WILL follow rules laid out by my guild leader, therefore I won't kill anyone in the PR without provocation. However, I like PvP...

It's a game that HAS PvP, if you don't like PvP you don't like the GAME. It's really that simple. It's like me saying I don't like playing a game where everyone I interact with is another person. I WON'T play an MMO then, yes?

Second, EMBRACE your Karavan/Kami roles, I agree with the person who said that 100%. Again, if you're looking to be more creative, join a more creative game . That means you see a Karavan follower and you're a highly discriminating Kami follower (like myself) and your guild leader says it's cool, kill him! (I won't, cause mine says it ain't, and I respect him and that)

Now, if we're going to talk about how I'm forcing you to play my way, keep in mind you self-centered folks who think I shouldn't play the way I want cause it's not the way you want, then YOU're forcing ME to play YOU're way. This game has PvP, either quit your whining and accept the fact that you're playing a game with that feature, or join a similar game without it. If I understand correctly WoW has non-PvP servers, enjoy. I'm not paying my subscription to have 5 people who make a big stink about it govern how I play.

i have to agree with him. the anti pvpers are also forcing their way of gameplay on the pvpers by saying its wrong. your not stopping them ingame but you sure as hell are annoying them and making their gaming experience less enjoyeable and some people will quit playing because you are annoying them by constant complaining and proclaiming that PvP is wrong and bad and what not . im not a rocket scientist by the way i just have a different opinion then you have.

No, but they sure do try. Your analogy is a little skewed, though. A better one would be to say, "The world contains both NASCAR and NHRA...", but that's beside the point. I'll say this one last time and I truly hope that nobody responds just to get in the last word, because my reasoning is sound.

You go to a PVP region to dig. That is YOUR choice. I go to a PVP region to PVP (who would have thought). That is MY choice, not to mention a right given by Nevrax. You claim to be some sort of roleplay guru. Every popular roleplaying game I have ever seen, to include those made by TSR, includes some sort of player versus player option. Every great fantasy novel in history includes conflict. The elves never like it when they are massacred by a troop of orcs, but we humans sure like to read about it. Just think of in-game PVP as a good addition to the storyline and you'll understand my way of thinking. I do not believe in the indescriminate killing of everything in my path. I do believe in honor and duty. You will never find me or most of OmegaV using infantile tactics or breaking the CoC in any way. However, conflict is everything in regards to roleplay, otherwise there would be no reason to play the role in the first place. Everybody from the lowliest stable hand to the most illustrious warrior in history has some opinion on war, aggression, and the opposition. The Kitin threat just isn't enough and I'm a man of action, not one to sit about talking my enemies to death. I'm done here and I would hope that holds true for the rest of you. Go play and have fun!

can we all agree to disagree on this and just accept that in a pvp zone you can be killed with no warning? and whilst it might not be morally acceptable it is something that can still happen

A better analogy imo is - an athletics field , you can run around the outside np but dont complain when you take a short-cut across the middle and get a javalin in the head. ATM there are both PvP and Kitin Patrolled roots areas so there is no denial of content only ppl looking for an easy option for PR forage (no patrols or PvP)

Non-PvPers are most certainy trying to impose their play style on others , happens in every single thread which mentions PvP. Personaly I have np with PvP and im looking forward to the Outposts/FvF/GvG , having said that I dont like the idea of a Full PvP server -yes I want to have my cake and eat it
