Well tbh my reason for being Fyros is way too shallow and newbish to reveal in public, so I think I'll keep it a secret and maybe ozzy can make a poll about it or something
At least until I make up a suitably cool reason anyway

Beta 1 i was Fyros cause i liked having half a head ( the Diadem Bug ), But the first time i saw a Matis Char ( named Belail ) who i used to team with alot, i decided that as soon as game went live i would be a Matis.
I was happy in FBT when we were told to make Matis chars & never thought about any other race since.

My first Charakter actually was a Zorai... liked him.
But well... I wanted to try the others too, so I made a pretty cool Tryker named Boaster, he´s still on noob, ´cause of those annyoing first few Lakelands Bugs...
Then came a cute Matis Girl and a Fyros Warrioress...
Stayed with the Matis, simply because I got to know such fine folks back then, that she outran every other charakter levelwise...
Now she´s got a head of her own and won´t let me visit the others anymore...
Sometimes i sneak off to Tryker, or Zorai though.. Just for a little reminder of the good old times on Nooby.
But when she finds out she gets all jealous and you know how those Matis Women are... Beware their wrath.

This is ... amazing. I would've bet the bottom dollar that the most are trykers. Then fyros, then matis then zorai. It seems I was wrong.
Well... the pool is not over yet.

Well my choice was simple.After our world in Earth and Beyond was destroyed Ballistic Mystix was in search of a new home.Ryzom was a game we chose to try unfortunatly I was barely able to play in open beta becuase of constant disconnect issues. Playing a game 5 minutes and taking 8 minutes to log back in is no way to get a feel for the game but Rak , Oshido and Soma<G> said this was what we are looking for. I preordered and of couse that meant I got it well after retail release . By then they were all Trykers on the ML so I made Kilgore and followed soon as possible. It was a great choice as the difficulties of the Lakelands has made me strong. Trykers are a noble and free ppl and of course the cutest. It also allowed me the chance to meet Apoljing and later Jessie and go explore the infamous "what's at the end of that tunnel" I have other avis of all races but none are really "me" but Kilgore.

Well, of course, we don't know how many players aren't voting, but I'd also say that the fact that all NA players in FBT were Matis and all the EE players in FBT were tryker may have influenced choices a bit (or at least, right after release)

Hmm, just looked at the numbers in a different way...

55 Kami worshippers vs. 92 Karawan-followers....

I think I tried every race back at the game launch. But somehow only Tryker appealed to me. I now and then do a newbie in one of the other races, but never really play them. Just the thought of only pulling 2 mats ql20 when I pull 15 ql150 now....

Let's see ... *tries to remember* ... When we got the news Earth and Beyond was heading for the sunset, Oshi and I started looking for a new home. There were a lot of things about SoR we found intriguing enough to give up our spaceships for becoming groundlings.

Zorai were out - Oshi didn't like them. I thought the Matis too pale and snooty ... I don't know if Rak ever was allowed a say in what race we were going to be. The Tryker were not available though.

So that left Fyros (still have some baby pictures from open beta) and we found ourselves taken with the Tryker NPCs we would see walking around in Pyr. When the game went live, we chose to live and swim in Aeden Aqueous. Even when it turned out there were so many things to overcome (harvest bugs, lvl 200 mobs in WoM etc), we stayed with them.

With 2 accounts I have plenty of alts but most of them are Tryker and so is my main ATS alt. Time has proven - for me - I made the right choice.
