The Outposts have been announced as being Chapter III shortly afer the release of Chapter II.

And for the features of the Outposts introduced by Episode 2, we would have had to develop them anyway; so even without considering roleplay and storyline, it made sense to play Episode 2 as a prologue to the Outposts.

I know, it's incredible eh? Someone wanting a feature that adds new things to discover and play with, over having a nice statue to stand at look at. Gamers today, they just don't appreciate what they get for their money do they?

By the way, here's a fork, my address is...

well, as mentioned in another post, "outposts" (protects eyes) have become the keyword/joker for any kind of content update, since it is what seems more 'tangible' and has been announced and discussed. Some players couldn't care less about outposts, they would prefer new skills, rites, organized raids, etc.
I take it that way too... when players say 'when are outposts coming'? I read 'can we expect any kind of content update, in a foreseeable future'?

I guess nobody cares if this is a proloque. Why did nobody announce a proloque some months ago ? Why where the outpost allready on ATS ? Without any proloque ? And why is the proloque now in status: under development. I feel like it should be to be patched yesterday.

To say it plain: It just looks like you people have developed nothing at all.

But our guild already contracted out bids for Pero's monument. The design of the winning bid is a massive colossus bestriding Fairhaven. One foot of the statue will come down next to the Karavan teleporter. The other foot will rest across the lake. The statute will be garbed in high quality Tryker heavy armor and will carry his legendary huge mace. So far the draft dedicatory inscription is:

"To you, O Pero, the people of Fairhaven set up this bronze statue reaching above Atys when you have pacified the waves of war and crowned their city with the spoils taken from the enemy. Not only over the lakes but also on land did you kindle the lovely torch of freedom."

I hope your diggers are up for it.

Where exactly will you get that much bronze?
Where will you smelt it? Where will you cast it?

You do realize (at least I hope you do) that Fairhaven has thunderstorms now and then. With lightning coming down. Which is attracted to metal like kitin patrols to PR diggers. Especially when grounded in or near water.

I can just see it: the humonguous bronze statue on its revealing day, surrounded by all hominkind in celebration, a sudden thunderstorm, a hefty lightning strike, all homins present electrocuted...

No offence intended, but this comment gets my back up severely. That, I would refer to as selective blindness. I'm asking for Outposts, because I've wanted to see them in action since they were first announced. I wanted to see NPCs that would give me something useful, and maybe work for me. I wanted to see guild alliances and disagreements that lead to power struggles and tactics being used. I wanted to see missions for an entire guild to enjoy - you know, to replace the massive content evident in the current missions? You know the ones, those things you do solo when everyone else if off chain-killing plants? I don't want statues.

And a question: Tell me exactly what is bad about someone asking for content. No debates, no theories - "what is bad about someone asking for content?". Simple question. Simple answer please.

Nothing at all, I've been asking that for a while myself... and my point was that outposts is not the only thing that players want. I should have formulated better: of course I want outposts and of course a lot of players want them, and that to some extent Ryzom has got to a point that any content update is welcome
