One comment I can make with amp crafting is, too much of a good thing is no longer a good thing. As was previously mentioned, using all supreme mats to make an amp results in a poor amp. There appears to be a threshold with shaft/grip mats where they have too much influence on the magic focus and reduce the amp's stats.
For example, one formula I have with sup zun works with excellent shu, but needs some basic and fine mats to balance it out. Or another with supreme beckers, but that needs choice adriel to balance it out.
Also if you come up with a formula that works for a Low Quality amp, the High Quality amp may not have the same stats unless the orginal ratio of mats in the LQ amp is the same in the HQ amp and a couple junk filler mats are put in.
Lastly, there are good quartered mats for amp crafting. Some of these are easier to get than supreme mats.
