As I said, supreme/uber items isn't the problem to sell, it is everything else.

As I said, supreme/uber items isn't the problem to sell
But players won't sell them at merchs (and jewels, armours, etc q250 too).
Why?
1. Players won't sell them for certain players (or player type)
2. Players won't ruin (on certain spots) or spending (in WL) whole day(s) (night/evening) trying to get supremes/excelents just for sale...(is easier to forage at "safe" spots and grind (btw much faster) and get same (more...) dappers from sales for NPC without resale.
All falling again to "for guild members only" politic.
What you wanted, that you get.

Set filter to q220+ and grade to Exc+ and look what is at merchs...
Curious, when HQ will disappear again (or already?)

If community did not appreciated, what was getting, and still complained - that should be expected as a result.
Greedy crafters? Hehe... Any crafter, who's selling above choice - is selling not for dappers, but doing social job

Complained? Don't appreciated?
No more supplies for "wide community" range...
Not many rare/needed items at merchs...
Few persons-guilds are greedy and stocking all in GH? Well, you can be happy, now large guild stocking all... Ah yes... they are altruistic and supply X members...
For small guild/guildless - "Oh sorry, say 'Tnx' for current situation on shard"

Grab friends/customers (for protection) and go dig?
Nah... Some of us/them dont need this, customers need, not "selfishes 1-2-3-.. person guilds" supplying big part of shard...
Why we/they need to sit 6/48 hours to get mats when they at least pop, and then sell for dappers, if easier just dig near TP in some 250ish zones, and grind, not collect *certain mats* for *certain type/order/recipe*.

Some wanted this result... Some just didnt understand, what they had...
And etc.

Join one of large guild and enjoy with "free/almost free" best stuffs?
1. i doubt that free in-guild stuffs are always best.
2. Not all want to join guild due to different play style - but this is their problems
3. Not all can find suitable guild (Reasons.: Faction/playstyle/timezone/guild politic/player which are already in guild/Few active players/etc)
4. Not many guild have really experienced (not only hi-lvl crafters)
5.Many don't want to join guild and after some time see total guild politics change..

I agree, what we need is a 50% cut for the vendor if a homin buys something back. Storage space is expensive and should be charged for, if you want cheap storage buy a chain of packers and have them follow you around. Of course Zok would be expecting to receive a 1% commission for arranging the atys wide system. In my mind use of the shops in this way is an exploit (although the devs don't seem to agree).

On topic

Occasionally, I have managed to get Supreme mats from the vendors at a reasonable price, but very rarely and only at my q100-q150 crafting levels.

hmz cant expect diggers to put ql250 supr mats on the markets folks. its darn hard to get them and we never have enough ;)

Well the reason people use the vendors for storage is because there just isn't enough room using only packers and apartments are a hassle to craft out of, since you have to move everything to your bag.

But back to the topic, I put less stuff on the vendors mainly because of the big decrease in supreme mats. Back when we were having regular server reboots, the supreme mats were much more plentiful. Nowadays, reboots are infrequent, so supreme mat nodes are empty for a long time. I don't see supreme mats getting any more plentiful unless the devs make a change, so people will just have to get used to there being only excellent and choice weapons available.

Yes, but some q100-200 would be fine for us poor intermediate players and excellent as well as supreme. :D

We all know crafters want to keep certain stocks of harder to get materials in their apartments, even stock some grind mats. But a person willing to grind some craftlvls can have 3 packers which equals 3000 materials to be held; which don' t need to be put in your personal inventory to be able to craft. Add your personal inventory which should minimum be able to hold another 400 materials and you have 3400 materials you can hold with only those already. Unless you are a substantial high lvl crafter you will not tell me you can' t get some lvls grinded out of that amount of materials. Which raises the question: why are people stocking ql60 - ql150 materials? And if it is so much of a hassle moving the materials alone already, why do some of the same people use different racial region vendors to stock the same materials?

Agreed, choice should be the norm imo, excellent scarce and supreme almost unavailable. The many server reboots spoiled the markets and people should indeed learn to live with it. The whole concept of supreme materials and our markets was designed to be like this; not to be dependant on server reboots.

And I' ve said it before: a crafter that knows what mixes to use can easily create a choice item that can rival an excellent item.

Kyerna, nice calculation about mat amounts but:
- I dont have 3 packers free for mats. I have 2 for mats.
- I have all racial plan for crafting. Cant use my choice lake mats with matis mats. And sometimes I have more of an ingredient then needed. Can grind that away.
- My apartment is full, cant store any grind mats there. Full with what, you ask? That is my secret, but if you have nothing else to do but think about the contents of my drawers, think very skimpy.
- Some spots are normally not available, mostly because they have kritters all over them. And then, all of a sudden, the kritters walk away. So you dig like crazy. Turns out it is 4 spots, so you can circle them, bag full, port, port back another bag fullm port, port back, packer full. Now what? Hard to get mat, easy for just this afternoon? Sell at a 9999999999% margin.

I can walk to guildhall, dump it in and get it back later. You can too. Not everyone can, Kyerna.
