I think all vets (are there vets in this game yet) should have a memory wipe and then start to play the game again from a beginners point of veiw. Then maybe you might all remember how great of a game it is and what a wonderfull world your toon lives in.

Ok, I'm a newbie. I'll shut up now. ;)

1-st: sorry for off-topic.
2-nd: Thom, there are basically ALLWAYS the same people defending, and NOT allways the same people complaining. Let's see... borg9 (lol, and his sis I think), kostika, grimjim, alibasil, rushin, 2-3 monkeys, err.... 2-3 trikers (can't remember the names, only the avatars).... and I guess that's pretty much the end on fanboi list.
Each one have his own style. Kostika "is pacient and optimistic", Jyudas posts half-truths and half-documented features and ignores the replyes, Ali is cuting the posts in pieces: 1-st:feelings about the complain, 2-nd: the oppinion, 3-rd: the conclusion, rushin starts with half-insults then lowers the tone and ends with advices (good or bad). Neun usually posts his experiences - most of the time out of thread - and tries to show the reader how cool is Atys. If you don't believe me, see for yourself: click on name and choose "see more posts".
Anyway, my point is that the same people are defending Nevrax but the complainers (me included) usually are different. Most of them already gave up. See how many posts regarding quits are lately?

Been playing since the middle of April 2004. Then as a Fyrosian armour crafter named Creatrix. I think I still have some old screenies stuffed on my old HD somewhere :)

I replied to the poll ... it didn't say 'Reply to poll and post you reg date'

Oh so complaining is bad is it diggin?

As for the childish secretary comment:

1. You could not afford my rate.
2. I am selective of who I work for, I had to listen to you moan about pointless stuff every second of the day I think you would know what would happen. (and to be honest, I think you need a mummy rather than a secretary)
3. As for people with different opinions ... isn't your main thing that 'regardless of what anyone else says I will complain' (pot calling the kettle black, I think)

1 it doesnt cost much to pay monkeys a bag of peanuts is sufficient :)
2 if you worked for me youd listen to my moaning all i wanted because itd be what i payed you for
3 constructive complaining about current issues in game isnt the same as posting complaing about someone who is mentioning that the game isnt what it used to be
4 if you want to continue this argument please post in the off-topic section and ill argue with you till you wear your fingers down to stubs typing but dont keep posting in flora's topic unless its on-topic is that much to ask? =/

So... what does any of that have to do with letting people that you consider fanbois voice their opinion? All I am saying is that Diggin said he was trying to stop them from posting in support of Nevrax. That is a lame idea. They can post in support of what they want if they want and when they want, just as all the pessimistic people can complain about their grudges and problems.

The first time I played Ryzom was either in Open Beta 1 or 2...probably 2...

I created a Tryker character and upon logging in immediately left Barkdell to explore. I accidently aggro'd a Guardian Yubo and was killed. I respawned and resumed exploring, ending up getting chased by Goari and taking refuge in the water. I swam for a while and got lost. I had no idea what I was doing and didn't enjoy it much. The water was laggy back then as well, probably because I was using an older video card at the time...

After release I thought it was too expensive to go back to, until about three weeks ago. I started a free trial with a new account (upon starting the game I realized I could've used my Open Beta account, but already had the trial account so I didn't). This time I knew what I was doing and had a lot more fun. :)

To people who dislike "fanboys" (or girls): I apologize in advance; I was more or less a fangirl of the company behind the last MMOG I was in, and I'll likely be that way about Nevrax too. :P You see, rather than being a selfish consumer, I think about every person involved in the making and maintenance of an MMOG. I respect their hard work and their feelings and I know maintaining something like Ryzom must be very hard work, which is not made easier by hundreds or thousands of demanding players, especially the vocal anti-Nevrax players who have no regard for those behind the game.
So, if you think I'm a fangirl: get over it, live with it, or do what you do best and threaten to quit over it. LOL.
