A representative of the Kami named lieutenant Yong Zhong-Shi showed up at Kami hill at Fairhaven yesterday. I was digging amber at the time. He introduced marshal Bai Jimao of the Zorai who soon thereafter appeared to parley. I hastily wrote down Bai Jimao's words after they boomed out over Fairhaven. I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes by repeating this, but I do believe in a free press for all homins. Here is what Bai Jimao had to say:

"People of Tryker, please, pray silence and listen to the words I have been asked to convey to you. Listen to the words of Ma-Duk! Homin from the shadowy Guild of Elias have heralded the coming of Jena to Atys. They have also revealed that the Karavan had prepared a surprise attack against Ma-Duk and those who follow his word. The Guild of Elias spoke truth! Jena wishes to take Atys for her own, to rule without division, to crush Ma-Duk and enslave those who believe.

With this news the future becomes dangerous. Jena's coming gives us no choice, we must fight! If we do not fight we shall not survive, or worse, we shall be made slaves and reduced to silence. We must prepare for war and throw Jena back to the void from whence she came! Soon we shall tell you what Ma-Duk expects of you. For now keep to the path of the Kami and avoid lies from the followers of Jena, The Night Empress. Even with this warning, do not trust Elias or his Guild. They work to their own goals, even if they have helped us this once. We should not forget that once he was a servant of Jena, before he betrayed her. May Ma-Duk show (you?) the way of wisdom. So ends the message, and so I discharge my duty. How do the people of Tryker feel of this announcement?"

If that was the official statement of the Kami representatives, then that's an obvious victory for Jena. The Zorai and other Kami followers have previously always denied the existence of Jena, claiming her to exist only in Karavan propaganda and the imaginations of the 'lesser' races. I'm glad that they have found the courage to accept that Jena does exist, and is indeed a Goddess. It would seem they believe in her again, and that is already a huge step forward. They believe her to be evil, ofcourse, but that is only natural. Who wouldn't be afraid if they learned a Goddess they 'knew' was only myth would be coming to their world soon? I'm confident that once Jena will arrive, the Kami followers will see for themselves that she is not a 'Goddess of Death'.

We offered the Karavan lackeys a peaceful solution but they (not us) chose conflict. We therefore did the only thing we could, showed them that they fought on the wrong side. If they had fought on the side of right, how could they lose?

You forget one small fact in all of this, the Karavan lied about who those 'spies' were. You support liars and manipulators who have now shown their true colours.

Yes the sound of sour grapes after you lose is very familiar indeed. ;)

OOC:

We only killed anyone with a Refugee title since that was the way to distinguish between Kami and Karavan.

Except when the Karavan supporters started cheating by changing their titles because they were losing. Some of them even tried to pretend they were digging! Even though they were attacking us before and AFTER they pretended to dig.

If you're going to be a bad loser, don't take part.

... asked (probably demanded?) to step aside ... fight our way through ... They refused ... We killed them.

our marshall had told us his spys had reported your army massing at the portal trying to block our safe bringing of the agent why would you want to block us if you wanted peace? you just wanted an easier target thats all :)

trykers always complaining stuff is too hard in there hometown doesnt seem like its just there either ;)

peace wasnt ever going to happen for the storyline to progress

who knows if the kami are destroyed we could all be flying round on kami jet bikes in the future ;P

if the karavan were wiped out we could all be even more over powerd on elemental ;)

Just something i have been thinking of.

Mythology from fact, gods made of people of names.

What if Jena was not a god, but a Karavan name for General or Commander.

The homins at the time would see the Karavan following the 'Jena' and portray this in their 'primitive' minds as Jena being a god.

So Jena who is coming with her armies, is not the same Jena as before but the current Commander of General of the coming Karavan force.

(Think of the AvP movie (painful sometimes i know) but the ancient race in the film , seeing the Predators coming from the skies, worships them as gods)

Same goes for Ma-Duk

Ma-Duk:
“(The Life Giver) : The Zoraïs worship a superior life energy which created Atys, Ma-Duk. They do not see it as a superior hominoid being but as an energetic entity free of body that presides over a kind of nirvana. They readily give offerings through favors done to the disciples on Atys, the Kamis.”

Kami name for a lifeforce or energy, that they worship or follow, homins take it as being a god.

Otoh, the karavan followers received a visit of another Marshal saying that yes, Jena was coming, yes, they wanted to attack the Kami and crush Ma'Duk, but the reason was that Ma'Duk is using the homins lifes and souls to feed his power (?), thus giving some a 'good' reason for acting against Ma'Duk (save the homins). I wasn't able to assist to the event (offline). Did anyone assist? where can I get the exact speech? pointers?

Sure, here's the exact speech given by Marshal Phanasa in Zora last night:

"Rejoice Homins! Jena has left her place in the heavens and comes now to Atys. When the celestial winds bring her to the shores of Atys she shall live here with us, forever. Tryton has shown his colours and betrayed Jena once again. The plans of the Karavan have been disrupted by his words. It is true that the Karavan wished to attack the Kami and to crush Ma-Duk unawares. But Tryton does not say why they would do this. They would do this to save hominkind once again, as they did in the time of The Kitin Wars. Ma-Duk wishes to preserve Atys for one purpose, maintaining his power. That power is failing, the Goo devours him and the cure to his sickness. A devouring of his own, the souls and bodies of homin, foolishly loyal to him, drawn into him to stave off the sickness. Ma-Duk will become nothing more than a parasite, a bloated tick feeding on the lives of the homin. This is why Jena comes, to crush Ma-Duk before he takes your lives and souls! Tryton be damned for revealing the plans that would have brought swift victory! Now we, the free people of Atys, must prepare for total war. This will take time and sacrifice but survival has a price. Soon we shall tell you how to prepare for the coming war. May Jena's light fall upon you."
