There is enough lore to say that the Kami and Karavan are enemies. It states it specifically in thier sections.

I guess we have misunderstanding here. Yes they are enemies (to eachother). But there is no clear text that they are enemies to homins. But this one:
Two groups as powerful and mysterious as one another seek to control the destiny of Atys.
Both possess unique powers, both claim to be the true guardians of the planet,
both come to the aid of homins as long as they obey their rules,
both are secretive about their origins and perhaps even their true intentions.
is enough for me to dislike them both (last part).

Hmmm guess we do have an understanding. I don't think I said they were enemies to homins. Actually let me correct that, they don't like the homins that follow the opposite group. In the Flannagan Files it says the following:
"The Karavan also promise to protect the homins in the event of any new disaster on Atys, but they will show no mercy to the infidel." The infidel meaning those that act against Jena's law. Which would be any homin following the Kami. In the Mara fragments it says the following: "To those who break their laws, the Kamis promise vengeance." As one of their main goals is to oppose the Karavan, it's pretty safe to say that this is included in the promise of vengence.
So as you see the Lore does indeed state that each group does not look kindly upon those working for the opposite group.

We can kill each other without kami/karavan even now. They only sell tickets and offer some missions.

But who would then offer a ressurectionservice? A head homin without another homin rezzing would be thrown out of Atys then? Buried?

Yeah, "if you are not with me, you are against me" way of thinking.
However, i don't trust lore pages anymore. Don't even bother to read them. I'm now about 14 months with Ryzom and those pages and parts of the story are changed few times. They will be changed again. Some parts or stories we got from guides on events does'nt make any sense. Like karavan forbids homins to go to PR (and they have teleports there and sell tickets). Of course those welcomers there are from that nexus karavan oriented tribe, but teleporting stuff is still from karavan. On the ticket is even karavan text.
Nevrax had one story in the begin and is changing it on the fly. You never know whats coming next. Story will be changed again (or there will be thirth party, like a that Elias guy) to fit state of community.

I'm saying that kami/karavan side choice does'nt make any difference ingame. You have no benefit of it. With -100 karavan fame you can still get tickets from karavan tp. On events you can play on kami side if you want and get no fame as reward at all. "wrath of kami"? yeah, only when harvesting. "wrath of karavan"? None at all.

Ignoring the basic facts that have been part of lore since day one is like a little kid sitting in the corner putting his fingers in their ears and going "nananananananananana I can't hear you". The Kami and the Karavan have always been enemies, that has not changed since day one. The fame system has always worked where helping one will lower the other (with one or two exceptions). You can ignore it all you want it's not going to change things.

It is not Kami vs. Karavan. It is human player vs. game mechanics.
(Un)fortunately i got my hands on a DVD about MMOs and watched it. Now i have lost all hope

. We will *never* get what we want. Not here on Atys and not in any game to come in future.
All what is fun doesnt sell or will be used as exploid.
