Off dead Homins I'll bet! So if you do come across any sparkling jewels or dapper, pass it on to me and I'll try and get it to any surviving family members.

So it was a problem with goo infested Gabbi? Wasn't that done before?

Based on the History I have read it hard to tell what created the deranged Homins.
Was it the Trykers -> became cutes due to goo/experimentation.
or
Was it the Cutes -> became Trykers due to goo/experimentation.
Same for the other races...
Matis could have wiped out their 'deranged homin tribes' but they could have acheived this by iradicating their past (they evolved from) or iradicated the non-pure Matis.
There seems to be parallels with 'The Time machine' when once race spawns the other race as food.
or
Planet of the apes, where the new inteligent race evolves from the ashes of the previous one.
So really to answer you question Raynes, we need more infomation.

Nice theory Neun.
I saw some mention of a Frahar camp anyone know the location of it? Also in the Void there's a Gibbai you can get missions from, does that mean each of the primitive tribes have a camp? I'd like to find the Cutes'

No I mean an event where the goo infested Gabbi were invading areas of Atys. I beleive it was one of the first events they ever had.

this one....
a Kami Envoy has been spotted outside Min Cho warning us of the Goo and the sudden co ordination of the Gibbai within the Grove of umbra.
Tread carefully homin, for their number has increased, and their organisation is such that it is almost impossible to travel the area alone.
Nature spirits have informed us that there are 3 Gibbai camps within the area, and the chieftans must be destroyed along with this new insidious form of goo.
It has been noted a small kitten army lie in ambush for any who attempt to access the portal to the kitten realm, as well as camps, supplies being set up, and strange totems idolising strange beasts, a warped corrupted version of our shrines we have built to honour our Kami allies.
We have been informed the gibbai have formed an alliance with the cutes from the lands of tryker, and have heard rumours of the army the karavan are mustering in that area.
To those who follow the misguided, and distrustful Karavan, we are aware of the Karavans dark and mischievious plans, so know this, a call from the Kami has been made, and has been answered. The Natural Order will be restored, and we will defend our homeland.
from what i remember all the gibbai were overcome, we continued to ToT to do battle against a band of black mages.. can't remember the storyline much better than that i'm afraid :0

Yeap, saw a goo node near Kipee Mull. Poked it a few times but it seemed pretty uninteresting other than some purple stuff occassionally flowing from the top. Couldn't attack it, heal it or singe it off It was invulnerable to anything i tried.karmelit wrote:Yes, the goo is expanding. Saw a small heap sprouting goo in Knot of Dementia, just west of Zora.
Am hoping it wont permanently infest that area with goo.
I also would like to thank Kostika and her team for stopping the Gibbaï invasion in Zora. Great job
Plenty of strange 'friendly' Gibbai wandering through Min-Cho. Very spooky. Didn't see any infected creatures though.

Re: The Goo is stirring....
The wandering Gibbai ARE infected. Just watch all their strange wounds, they are like zombies. We had a goo-event at the end of the beta, and the infected Gibbai then looked excatly the same as these do now.
Is this event different on Leanon and Arispotle?
On Leanon, we have this goo-mound near the Antikami-Camp too, and also one in haven of purity (quite in the middle, near the letters "purity" on the map). I myself could see Gibbai (in groups of five, one 1-star-violet and four 2-stars-red) spawning from there on saturday and sunday a lot, when homins tried to free those poor Gibbais from their suffering by killing them (no other cure known and no healing-spell possible) - but after lots of fights the spawning ceased. Friends of mine swear that the goo-lump had darkened in between all the fighting.
After the first spawn-ceasing, some new, stronger Gibbai (2-stars-violet) spawned somewhere (unknown) and marched into Zora, where they were killed. None of those Gibbai was left alive.
On saturday there had still been a third goo-mound west of Jen Lai in knot of dementia, on Sunday this one was gone - perhaps connected to all the killing in Zora? On the other hand, there IS a goo-mound northwest of loneshot view (or so it is called) at stainmoor. And another one in the void, north of the gibads-camp.
But today we saw Gibbai (same old groups of five) spawning right to the north of Min Cho without a goo-cone to be seen!
We always thought that we could attack, heal or harvest the goo-lumps away (something like that worked at the Beta-event and was always mentioned in old dev-chats), but nothing worked. By killing lots and lots of Gibbai we hoped to "deplete" the goo-lumps and stop the spawning. But after a while new Gibbai ARE still spawning, even today...
There was a hint pointing to the Antikamis - weren't they using goo in the first Kami-vs-Karavan-event last year? The tribe is still the same, but last time some Antikamis had been plotting things down in the roots and had to be stopped, only after that the event ended. But: ARE there any groups of Antikamis somewhere else than in their own camp and patroling around in grove of umbra?
And: is there a "boss" behind all this; placing those goo-mounds relatively close to the Zorai-cities and using the poor Gibbai to swarm all over Witherings to confuse us? Some Gibbai are wandering into the goo, but will eventually turn around and head back - are they fetching new goo to bring it somewhere?
I would be REALLY grateful if we could exchange hints

Re: The Goo is stirring....
We spent 2 hours killing the gibbai that spawned at the HoP mound. Two groups there, and some others going around killing the gibbai in the surrounding area (that seemed to spark off spawns). Killed probably 500 gibbai. Possibly more. Nothing happened so we left. How many did you kill at the mound before it disappeared?
Some of them were spawning in the middle of nowhere. Others were spawning out in the goo (west of knot). It seemed as though only a fraction of them were coming from the mounds.
After 5 hours of searching, killing gibbai all through the witherings (and really hitting HoP as mentioned above), we gave up. Apparently later that night someone found the missing general (I don't know if we just missed him or if he wasn't there yet). But the gibbai seem undiminished.

Wow, you've been working hard.
Well, as I mentioned, the goo-mound west of Jen Lai DID vanish, but another one is northwest of loneshot view in the knot right now, so maybe it was misplaced before or something - no idea though.
But it also may have been an effect of killing the SPECIAL stonger invading Gibbais (2-stars-violet) AT ZORA... Have you experienced those already?
Hey, we had crazy ideas like simultaneously killing the Gibbai at the goo-mounds/spawn-points, or connecting the location of the goo-mounds on the map for some clue - but bummer
And of course we also killed lots and lots of Gibbais for many hours on Leanon, but they still spawn; and not only from goo-mounds, just as you said.
Also we explored the area all over Witherings many times, especially at the rim of the goo-infested soil... Nothing worth mentioning yet.
The general was found a lot earlier on Leanon, when the first Gibbais started to spawn. Well, at least the forum says so - I wasn't there & noone confessed to have been there at this event either, as much as I asked around O_o - so, is it just a story? Dunno.
It's all very mysterious (and not exactly logical), so I really hope there IS a solution to this "riddle".
It would be too bad if all we do and think will be completly unimportant. Like: a boss-mob spawns next sunday and that's it, no matter what we do or don't...
