Besides, if i'm not mistaken ( !! ), the Kami holds influence only on FLORA related affairs on Atys. Also, the big enemy to the Kami is the cancerous goo, which is somehow connected to the kittin.
As far as I know the Goo problem has been placed at the feet of the Karavan by the Kami. The Kitin also appear to be native to Atys, just underground normally. We disturbed them.
Sorry you were mistaken. They definately take an interest in all living things on Atys but it seems to be merely to balance the ecosystem, rather than to protect any particular creature. I wonder if they would take the Kitin side if we came near to wiping them out, or side with the homins in the hope that, with no war with the Kitins we wouldn't need the amount of materials we are going through at the moment.
Which brings up another theory.....
Why did the war start? And I mean really. Sure, some homins went down a hole and then the Kitins started attacking. But that doesn't explain anything. Why did they attack? Did the homins kill some of them? Or was it something a little more twisted? After all, the Kami are pretty secretive. Maybe they had something to do with it. Maybe we were digging a little bit too much back then too. Give the Kitin a nudge in the right direction?
