As far as being on the blacklist, you knew it would happen when you killed the player.
Salym, your explanations are clear as mud.
The player caught cheating admitted it, so it is forgiven?
((Your Honour, yes, I murdered her, Im sorry.
((Since you admitted it
you can go, try not to do it again, ok?
-there was no punishment (ie. see title of this thread)
-there was no reversal of skills obtained by cheating
-there was no removal of title obtained by cheating.
-Zen is still able to go to PR and pull valuable lvl 250ish
Black and White mats, but many others cant because they
are NOT-CHEATING their way up there slowly.
Lath (Botter-killer) is part of a breakfast club we have at GoC of over lvl 200 diggers where we all spend many many many many hours digging and chatting and rezzing each other and EARNING our skills instead of cheating our way through. What an interesting concept for the yet un-punished cheaters
enjoying other players company while skilling, thereby making it fun
.rather than an automated bot/macro program. But oh no! this is a game! Can that happen?
To date, there may be no GM justice for these things but reputable guilds can have some. I am positive I can speak for my guild knowing if one of us cheated, they would kick us from guild without hesitation. The only other justice atm is the Wrath of Lath
.. The fact that Zen was welcomed into Infinity after he was caught and an admitted botter makes ALL members of the guild suspect. Ive heard rumours of other Infinity members botting in PR and frankly, I would have thought it just an exacerbation of rumours against them until they took Zen in. Of course this also may explain why Infinity kills harvesters in PR
other harvesters may see them botting?
To cheat at a game to advance oneself is an ethical standard equal to the person who keeps extra change given to them by a poor cashier who has to replace that money from her pocket at the end of the day. They feel like they got away with something, and its possibly justice enough to be that pathetic.
And PS: an aside to the ex-Infinity player who sent me an apology for the events/infractions that transpired over the last few months. Thank you for that.
