You can *not* compare SoR and WoW. They are not the same genre.

Thats like saying you cant compare a porsche to a ferrari they are both cars just have different Pros and Cons.

Both games are MMORPG's, both have graphics, both have a community, both have quests yadda yadda yadda

maybe they 'drive' differntly, but none the less still cars

so they *can* easily be compared.

I remember, after digging for two months, having reached lvl120 or something, I took up my sword, crafted myself a nice armor and joined a hunt. I made like 10 lvl in a single hunt.
I was stunned at the speed one can lvl his fighting!
Magicing the same!

im playig WoW and ryzom. at the moment more WoW then ryzom.
but thats simply because WoW is new.

i personally like WoW. you just never run out of things to do. (mho)

yes the community is not so close like in ryzom.
but thats simply because there are a lot more people.
i never really had to wait for a mob or never had to wait to logg in.

you could say the graphics are less then ryzom. wich is true but the style is also completly different.

i guess there is more i could say about it but since it is 2am i want to go to bed.

anyway im not leaving yet and not cancelling yet.
only time and the amount of cash i have will tell

just a little note. from hitting the WoW icon to being ingame walking around is <1minute... if you are on a really overpopulated server you have que's... just make a char on another server

anyway wow will never win to ryzom graphic/community wise everyone knows that

As I am back home for a few days I just had to pick up a copy of WoW.
All the stores are packed full of them and not buying one just seemed
wrong !

Sure it seems hyped and for the masses - but that does not mean that
it's bad !! I'll give it a go later today, and see how it works out
