I took a trip out to the Oasis tonight and I can put to rest any misconceptions there are about it.

1) You can not access it. As many people have said there are rocks blocking the path. There is no secret path through them.

2) There is no machine in the oasis. The only things in the Oasis are a lake, some trees, and an empty village. What people have mistaken for a machine is really smoke coming out of a chimney. (and yes, it's an abandoned village with a building with smoke coming out of the chimney, the devs f'ed up).

3) There is only one way in and one way out of the oasis. Most of the caves around the oasis are dead ends. One leads to a roots entrace though.

4) There are no Kamis, no animals, no homins, no life at all in the Oasis.

In short the Oasis is like everything else in the game, something that has yet to be implemented. Here are some screenshots:

It's too bad homins can't climb. >_<; Makes you wonder how they can do crafts and wield weapons. We just need a few dozen strong homins to move those rocks. What's the point in blocking it off if there's nothing there? :>

Just wondering how you got the screenshots raynes, if you cant access the Oasis now ?

Also, I have been told by someone that it may be the "secret passage" through the rocks is only walkable if you have 100 kami personal fame, but since Raynes is the KoK guy, I'm guessing he has that right?

If Raynes doesn't have 100 kami fame I'll eat my computer.

That's my secret. I can get screenshots of any point in the game though, including inside the caves all around the oasis, the kitin lairs in the roots, the branches in the sky, anywhere. Buildings and animals will show as long as I am within 1K of the area I am taking a screenshot of.

I'm sorry Aelvana, but where should I send the BBQ sauce? I have 95 personal fame. Going from 90 to 100 is painfully slow. So slow that at level 150 spending at least 4 hours killing antikami didn't get me one point of fame.


I still highly doubt that 100 personal fame will do anything to open that place up. Mostly because there is nothing there. If there were Kamis, NPC's, animals, anything I might beleive it, but there is nothing there. Just to make sure I will spend the time to get the extra 5 fame points to test it. It might take me a week or two though.
