But surely, it is common courtesy to say "hi" (at least) to others if you want their attention? You can't expect a team xping to notice you some distance away (while they are busy fighting, healing and trying to stay alive) - also sometimes people really do not pay notice to what's around when they are rushing, I do not think it is fair for you to assume people will notice you because you stand there not saying a word.
It is commom courtesy to say Hi or good evening guild when you log on and I did.
Busy fighting? 1 Ocyx at a time is hardly busy fighting and trying to stay alive, 5 people against one Ocyx is not difficult.
I have been in many hunting parties I can't think of a single time when I had not noticed people stood around if they were within 25 m either by looking at the compass or by direct sight.

karibou wrote:Well shad i must say when i met u again yesterday i had forgotten all this story and i hadn't read this post yet.
u told me to do it and i did more or less and i told u what i thought.
Now i've read it entirely u can be sure if i did it before i certainly wouldn't have talked to u as i did yesterday.
What is the "i lost the respect i had for u [dam]" meant for? he tried to clarify the situation with u and pof only because u don't have the same view it s over? and btw if u knew the guild and dam as well as i know them u would never say dam is a bad leader.
Now i didn't see the "20m" thingy too lol . oh plz if u want to be invited why staying so far??? only to "test" us and to see if we look at the compass?so test successful we didn't when we are busy. is that enough to discredit a guild and his leader? i think not.
Anyway now it s all over, it happened a while ago and i hope we will forget everything but i won't let u say bad things about the guild again.
I told you to read that post because as I had metioned your name I thought it only fair that you do so.
One error of judgement does not make someone a bad leader.
I am not attempting to discredit your guild and when I left I was not even judging that incident. I made my decision to leave based solely on the reasons given to me as to why I was not invited.

20m sure is a safe distance to make sure nobody notices you, except if they're looking at their compass, which doesnt happen a lot when you're busy healing
Which lead me to reply that as usual, we were using guildchat instead of teamchat. Anyone *smart* enough would figure out there's a hunting party going on, when seeing 3 "ding" in a row...
"Hi, I'm a paranoid and I want everyone to know it! "
Look, you're not blaming my gf for not noticing Your Highness logging ok ?
You'd have gotten a team invite if anyone had noticed your Royal Butt, my lord...
And I'm very glad my "lame" ( o_O ? lol ) excuses drove you away, since you seem very childish here...
Sure does, you're a paranoid type, imo.
You seem to be taking this game very seriously...
As you can notice, I am not quite ready yet to let you spread fake rumours about either me, my officers, or any other member.
I'm also glad I left your guild and the only person here I see being childish is you as you do not seem to be able to write a post without getting personal, name calling and abusive.
It's a game how can you take it seriously, it's not like it's a life and death struggle.
There is no spreading of rumours, it was your post that bought this subject up in this thread, not mine.

This thread is so tragically of topic it makes me sad that Lawrence's PM inbox is full

Not so much about Ryzom; more about the forums. Lawrence's inbox is full and none of the other have enabled PMs... Any chance you could have a word in their ears as its a bit difficult to contact a moderator these days

Soulsnatcher this post is not actually off topic but I should have made the title longer.
It is a sorry state of affairs when you feel you have to defend yourself on a forum about something as trivial as leaving a guild which, was my choice to make anyway regardless of reasons.
Well I originally I left because of gameplay issues then I came back because of the community and now I have left because of part of that community.
Dam, think of my leaving as my wedding present to you.
To my friends here I hope we meet again in another MMOG sometime in the future.
This is my last post on these forums and there is no point in answering this post as I will not be reading any replies if any.

Ask a GM (eg souls
) to lock the thread so there *can't* be any replies?
