"Killing opposing faction NPC's" is not an event...

"Speaking in region against another faction" is not an event...

"You and your RP buddy killing each other during an activity" is not an event...

It's roleplaying, and there is already an area for that...

Bold letters dont seem to work to get the point across perhaps when the mods keep shutting there threads down they will get the concept that rp goes in rp thread and "organized" events go in events section.

And Tak will tell you that you are 100% wrong. Killing of NPC tribes is something that takes planning, organization, and a lot of effort. It is an event.

Now what about the beach party and the mek races? They are 100% roleplaying, they are considered events and even get front page space.

Well, that's your opinion. I myself fail to see how killing enemy tribes isn't an event if killing kittins is, or how that karavan convention wasn't an event if the pyr summit was. What would you consider to be an example of a player-organised event then?

Why is an event a simple "task" given out by NPC's for single player. It's not even a guild mission FFS... I don't care what Takashi or others say to shut you up... it's not an event.

It is a task within the bounds of the story line, and may even have an effect on the flow of the story line. What effect and to what degree? Who knows. They may choose to completely ignore it, and not have it affect the story. But that would be directly opposite of what Neverax seems to be trying to do here, which is a player driven story affected by player actions.

Though I find arguing amusing and will probably continue doing it because I have nothing better to do at work I find It sad that this thread has gone on for 4 pgs when there is nothing that will come out of this thread. The facts are:

-Saga Board will continue to be called Saga board

-RP doesnt belong there there is already a board for it(you can bicker about this all you want but RP is RP it doesnt belong in a thread for posting events)

-An event should only state the Info needed (date/time/place/reason) not a 9pg Rp epic post

-If you want to RP on the boards about your event add a link to a new thread in the RP thread like so http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9122

So your thread looks somthing like this:

Title: Infinitys Events Thread (you can use one thread to post all your events you ever have and people will know where to look)

Event:Killing All Karavan who stand in my way
Time: 9pm EST
Place gly boogly Ave
date: 1/29/05

We will be ravaging the country side killing karavan and in general having a grand old time dancing on there corpses under those crazy disco lights they love so much.

I killed the whole active tribe at the time... I want a MOTD !

Wait just a darn minute... if this was an event, why didn't I even get a whole fame point ???
