That's like saying someone should get excited over the 1% interest banks give you on savings accounts. Sure it's a bonus, but the benefits from it aren't something that really make a difference.

someone above posted that they get 137,000 DP at level 154 and it sounds reasonably close to correct. There are 480 hours in 20 days. That works out to 28.5 points of dp per hour of standingn around. That works out to what... 1? 2? exp per hour?

Let us be able to BUY DP off!

Like donate some munnies to the Kami Altar or the Karavan Skull of Death machine and get rid of your DP. So for those who wants to get rid of DP fast, allow them to spend some munnies to get rid of it instead of grinding it off (but leave the old system in place too). Make it expensive tho, like 100 dp = 1 dap.

I actually like the thought of buying off your dp. Pretty original if you ask me... cool idea. Of course some people have more $$$ than others, but hey, if you could afford it why not?

that's one death, not max dp. We still don't know whether the spread over 20 days takes a % of max dp or of currently attained DP.

Besides, imagine you're level 250 oh...2 years down the road...in everything. I bet you it's over 50 mil dp. WAY more.

Keep in mind despite ranged being fix WoW has a similiar offline XP system. Wish was implementing one where you could learn gardening or carpentry. This was problably a long time coming.

Given the new dp tweaks I'd say that nevrax was pretty generous overall. To generous...I think...'A mob that would only give you xp' does that mean if it agroes you and you didn't attack (hence it's death is no xp) that you get no dp? that means noobs willy nilly in pr! nooooooo! might just be yubos though.

Exp removing DP is calculated by multiplying a value that raises or lowers depending on where that skill is between level 1 and whatever your highest level is. It still would be the same no matter what level you are.

What about a system like ac2 had, healers could remove dp once they got high enough, for instance once a healer becomes lvl 200 or so he gains a spell that can remove the dp from someone.

I dont know dandra, that sounds kinda crummy. Doesn't it nullify the point of death-penalty then? (i.e. make you at least be careful and not just run around all wreckless like).

it's fixed at about 4 mill or so, don't really remember what exactly, but i got the value from a lvl 250 pr harvester who said it didn't rise when he raised his other skills

It's not "fixed" at 4 mil... my max is over that now...
