One thing i would like to see, is an end info on screen the the event is over.
Not the the day after.

Don't remember any event were there wasn't a MOTD or server wide message(s).
On a similar note, more info/text about what the event means sure would help keep the interest up.
Put info in the encyclopedia, it is pretty empty...
