.
We went through this yesterday when I hit the server network the ping flew up to over 100 close to 150 in some cases
Anyhow I'm getting confused with the other the fact is that you say that you may not develop the code properly or beyond what it is now and it may just become an engine and now again your telling me that you will in fact make the focus the game and not the engine. I guess I dont get it really there seems to not be a fixed idea which for me says you aren't even sure of what your gonna do with the code once you have purchased it with other people's money. This alone makes me nervous

Oh... well if there is something I don't tolerate this is deforming what people say or making them say another thing... You've been reported to the moderator team, we'll see what they do.
Do you have any honor at all ? :/

trying to discuss... Read what we say. You say that the project wan't to pruchase ryzom only to free the engine.
I said before that the engine is already free
And why lejade and lacambre would give money to free something free? Why the would create a company to manage the game ?
Ryzom is not a focus, this people wan't to loose money, and the ryzom.org community wan"t to free a free engine...

your english isnt that easy to understand excuse me, but i am trying to make sense of it.
the bolded statement is what I am questioning "ryzom is not the focus" means to me that you are not going to be putting the main effort into further developing ryzom. Those are your words not mine. What am i missing here?

Sorry if my english is bad.
The bolded statment is irony.
We want to create a company on the purpose to make it viable to run the game as it stands now. So I think Ryzom will be a foccus...

Sit back and let people who have experience of this game and know its history share their views.

go flame someone else okay i'm here trying to understand
is this going to be an open source project
are they actualy trying to preserver ryzom at all
or are they busy trying to decieve a community and using it as a platform for something else like money
my concerns are genuine and I WILL state my opinions because I have seen people ripped off before and done nothing THIS time i'm going to say something as all the alarm bells are going off whether or not you agree or even CARE about my opinion since this is also my forum as well I WILL do what I can to figure out what these guys are doing
so far there is a website that doesn't work very well if at all. A bunch of crappy recycled graphics. Misappropriated and now verified stolen information that is not just limited to email address. A bunch of people looking for money and they are using this forum as a means to make themselves visible. I disagree with a lot of what is going on and how its being dealt with.
Now go troll someone else unless of course you have something useful to add like information or an opinion on the issue I will put you in the pile with Kaetami the ones with nothing to add just who are busy making stupid comments like this
At least I am trying its not the same for you!

Yeah
Xavier probably mad e a school boy error with the getting in contact with us by email thing. The project has lost credibility because of that.
To be honest I'm looking at ryzom, a great game. I'm trying to figure out how any company could buy it and make it popular again? It's a lost cause I think. We've been dong this for over two years now. Surely thats enough time, for the world to discover Ryzom and determine whether it is a hit or not!
As much as we know it is an amazing game. The fact is we've had long enough now to see if it would see succeed like WoW, and it just hasn't. I don't believe having another company buy it, would change that. It's been too long now. Ryzom has the stigma of a "failed game" attached it, as much as I don't like to admit it.
So even if a rich company did buy Ryzom and kick started it again. I doubt the mmo community will change their view of Ryzom.
The main point I want to make is this, and people hear know me well enough to know that I say this not out of anomosity or because I want to see Ryzom burried, because that ain't the case.
But Ryzom won't ever be more then this small community. It won't ever make a huge amount of money. In my opinion it will fail again no matter who buys it. So perhaps we should be glad that this "free Ryzom" Project exists. I think though, that they shouldn't have made a bid this time round.
