I doubt the honour system will return as it was too exploitable. Groups of mixed faction nuking and rezzing each other for 2 hrs just to get pts to get gear, not much honour in that :p

That is easily remedied by deminishing returns and a 24 hour lock after that

So, your theory is far from complete and is wrong based. If our community is different, we need to cuantify the areas that is better and the areas that is worst.
So we are a different community (what new under the stars, don't have all MMO a different community? Can you work with a hypothesis that tells you nothing? You can the same say our community is made by players full stop to same effect.)
We are more mature, generous, educated, kind but (all these treats don't translate in "better" but in "different" still... well, we may have a little confusion of values, basic values maybe?)
This community "more kind, educated, generous, mature" can be..."worst community for PvP"... so what we can conclude? That a "good" community for PvP needs to be unkind, uneducated, selfish and immature? I know a lot of pacifists that may think that indeed. Why? Because they paint all pvp with same brush - not their fault, they don't know pvp to judge. But this is not Mithur's case I guess.

Ryzom has a different community, but all MMOs have a different community - therefore the proposition, while true, is useless. Why is it used? Because under it's truth you hid well it's uselessness. Why hide? Because you wanted that my hypothesis to be "wrongly based".

What's the conclusion of the "right" hypothesis? If Ryzom's community is different we have to "cuantify the areas that is better and the areas that is worst". If we didn't know that this community is "more kind, educated, generous, mature" we migth have needed to quantify (even if cuantifying is pretty impossible in communities of real people, but let turn a blind eye on that) but as my opponent states that Ryzom's community is "more kind, educated, generous, mature" I start to wonder what he wants to quantify?

And all this twist just to negate a simple truth that has been discussed over and over and over here:
This is a better community (not only different) which reacts badly to the OP wars implementation of pvp hence this implementation is susceptible of flaws.

Having in view that this implementation gives no risk to attacker, rewards the win in an unbalanced way and doesn't reward the defender in any way, the above supposition is supported by material facts.

You hit the nail on the head there.

The cost now to attacking an OP is a handful of near-worthless dapper and perhaps the social ramificaitons of doing it. I remember the price was increased once. It needs to be done again. Make it something that has a bite to it.

The reward for thowing off an aggressive move should be more than just keeping what you already had.
