Ryzom

HI everyone Keetch from Cara Via here.

Totally to my surprise....I've been playing Tabula Rasa and having a VERY good time. It's a very well worked out game. For 100 million bucks, I guess Richard Garriott can do some good work.

Tried to get back into WOW but found it very very slow (again). TR has much better action; without being a shooter/reflex game at all. So far; so good!

It isn't Ryzom; but what it is...is different and a lot of fun, in its own whack-a-mole way.

A couple negatives...it is class based; you must select your career path; but at least within that ruleset, the options, characters, and equipment are unique. No elves, trolls, druids on and on....lots of ugly aliens tho lol. No worries they're pretty stupid. Okay thats one negative, not a couple.

I play on the Pegasus server as Doctor Duggles with a lower level clone named Major Duggles.

I am afraid I will never find anything else that would satisfy me as much as how Ryzom did.

I am still playing HL1: Natural Selection (my 2nd favorite game) : it is a fast action (and by fast, I mean it can be very fast) where marines are in war with an alien race (nothing live the Aliens frenchise).

I also recently baught ET:QW because I have always played all quake game series. But I am finding that it satisfies me less then what I had expected. I used to play ET, BF1942 and BF2 but not anymore.

I tried the LOTR demo. Kind of left me a somewhat neutral feeling.

Playing EQ2 atm on Lucan DLere.

Most of my RL family is there.

Seems pretty good, there are a lot of nice things that the devs from Ryzom could pick up on.

But it is not Ryzom, I will be back on Atys as soon as possible.

Met Goldcrest the other night on Laurelin, was really nice to chat to him

I think Laurelin must be the unofficial evil Kara server, 'cos I seem to only meet kara there LOL

Kara should get a new PR company though, 'cos I always thought they were Sooooooooo...... EVIL!

But now I find they are very friendly and personable people, all those years of hatred and fear down the drain
