Nevrax did slash alot of extra "bloat" in the restructruing period. I'm not sure if Nevrax owned this URL at any point.

Who is in charge of customer relations and running the forums? JOLT. When was the last time you saw someone post in the general forums (in the english server) from Nevrax? I'm not sure if the frequency (or lack thereof) of posting is the same on the French forums, but it's lucky if it's once in a blue moon here.
Jolt had pretty much only responed to issues regarding:
A.) The database was compromised and that Xavier used it
B.) That our credit card info was safe.
C.) They've pretty much left this post alone while keeping an eye on it since editting out profanity from fanboi's of the 1/3 majority.

They might be one of the 2 mystery buyers. Who knows. I don't really care. The sooner Nevrax releases their grip on this game the sooner things get fixed, more content gets added.

yesterday.

Sure jolt's job is to moderate these forum, not giving opinions nor news*. Though recently it does seem to have change for both.

*as far as i know news are supposed to be the realm of the community manager employed by nevrax: marjo, seido and formerly xavier.

Aye he appears to be attempting to start a flame war. One liner comments taking things out of context and not actualy contributing to the actual subject . There is one troller in this thread and its this person who is also a supporter of the .org project by the looks of it. /shrug

More personal attacks.
Look, I can do that too! wrote:I'm really sorry, I have been reading this whole topic and I have to say; of all the people responding in this thread, you're the one trying to poke in fires that aren't there. My issue with the dot org group is the following:

A.) Stolen/Misused Usernames and emails (we've already discussed this one enough)

B.) Do you think the rate of progression in developement or Ryzom will increase or decrease with the dot Org (1/3 Majority) group?

B.) Will they have the major funds to toss at this game to get it out of beta (ie fix the broken RAID engine, fix rights, balance OP's, add money sinks to game. Need I even mention the state of "Ring"?)? DirectX 10 compatibilty will need to be addressed in the 1.5 months. Will this team be able to make it compatible?

C.) Once the game is "fixed" and in a better state, will dot Org (1/3 Majority posting here) then have enough funding to start an ad campaign to try to attract new subs (I think Nevrax has shown that the game's state is pretty poor and not ready for a full advert blitz)?

D.) How long will it take this group to visualize, code and implement a 95+% or better expansion with new lands (NEW TEXTURES ALREADY), new armor and weapon skins, new unseen mobs on Atys?

Here's my answers:

A.) He should have mailed an apology email out.

B.) Time is of the essence here. All if not most of these have been broken in some shape or form for 3 yrs. No more than 2 or 3 months tops. Full disclosure on all changes in the Patch notes (might as well pat yourself on the back for work well done). Wouldn't it be nice to finally say "Yes, you can complete the Ragus Rite".

c.) Full advert blitz, paper gaming mags, online mags, and get game sites to re-review the game in it's "better" state. Nevrax pretty much ignored the US markets. Only near the last few months was word starting to spread.

D.) This should have been released instead of Ring. It would have brought in some instant cash to Nevrax. But hey, not like they have gotten much done correctly in the finance/advert part so far. This would need to be completed in 6-9 months to churn out another advert blitz. I don't see this team doing it.

My issue with the dot Org group is in B and D. You can't do C with having done either of them. I just don't see that group in it's current state being able to tackle these issues at a rate faster than Nevrax did (which was unnacceptable and the reason we got into this mess in the first place).

IMO, Ryzom needs to be a project for another company that has just pushed out a major expansion in their main MMO or other game. Thus delegating the minority of thier staff to minor tweaks and bug fixes of the above stated game and allowing a majority of the squad to delve deep into the Ryzom code for open haert surgery (Ma-duk knows it needs it) over the next 2-3 months.

Ryzom doesn't have any moneysinks in game. But in it's current state it is a moneysink itself. Will the dot org gorup be able to pump out new code 3-5x faster than Nevrax? Will it be able to set in the red for 9-12 months at least?

These are my issues and concerns and I have yet to see them answered.

EDIT: Ohh yeah. I also forgot to mention server all that fun server stuff.
