It has been down for about a week, the domain name has probably expired. Unfortunately, the .fr whois does not list expiration dates.

During his working period at CTO, the italian company published a localized version of DAoC till 2004. If fact DaoC is one of the very few MMORPG entirely localized in italian too. In 2004 CTO SpA and subsidiaries (as CTOnet) went bankrupt (just as a coincidence, when they went bankrupt DAoC Italian counted 4.500 users). DAoC is still alive...

As far as I know DAoC was the only online game they published, all other games they distributed and/or localized were standard single-user games.

More, the bankrupt was caused by other problems by CTO and not by CTOnet, as DAoC was making money at that time (as far as I know, but i can be wrong on this last statement).

I only have one question. If someone has bought the game (which seems correct) why have they not stated their intentions regarding the future of the game by now. Maybe I am the only paranoid homin reading this thread?

As far as we know, all we have so far is a highest bidder, not an owner, at least not officially. Only an owner would be issuing statements, so we have to wait until there's an owner. Even then, let's hope we won't be left out in the dark too long...

More precisely, it's down to legal process. Our worst fear was that the feud over Ryzom's assets might take up to a year to resolve. So despite appearances, it's moving faster than expected. We have yet to know if a counterbid has been put forward.

Probably because the deal is not yet complete.

Everyone take a deep breath - it's going to take some time yet.

Sorry, any excuse to have a go at the French. It's in our genes you see.

If it takes a year I'm going to go crazy. There's no game that has even once come close to Ryzom and the wait is killing me right now. I'm the one permenantly camping Ryzom ...

He's gonna' have one angry English-speaking-Tryker-player-from-the-German-server on his tail, mark my words.
