When a GM doesnt want to say what punishments i dont have the info i need about cheating about this game. Then if i was a new players i just would leave this game where i dont know what i can find.
GMs dont even have a good way to catch ppl cause they say ppl send a ticket to them. lol. that is a really good way to catch ppl. There is no chance to caught someone unless he is tons of time cheating.
If you want to play without knowing what you play its up to you.
Just curious, but just because they ask for any info people find on botters via tickets, does that mean its the only form of detecting them they have? Probably not, but if someone has info I am sure the GMs can use it. Don't assume because they ask for your info that its the only way of capturing them they have at their disposal. *huggles*

Theres alot of ways botters can get caught but prolly the most effective is the community- alot of players have been reported after being caught out by fellow gammers- the atitude of the community which is clear from this thread is going to be the largest deterrent.
IF you find someone botting- report them as i have done in the past, i think if a list of everyone caught botting was released most people would be shocked at how long it is and how many people where only caught once then realised their mistakes.

Well, if GMs say players give them info THEN its cause they are not able to detect all.
Why should i think they have other way to detect them if they first dont say anything about it and then aks ppl for help??? I think its clear.
Also a player in game told me they just pm ppl to check if they are bots or not.

We could go on having this debate all night if you simply don't want to believe then fine. But that's your view, not the facts. You could also read this
here as it is not the first time this has been raised. As for asking players to report botters, sure that's a very effective way, but no it is not the only way we find them. What you know isn't everything that goes on, there is more than that.

Yes it is your game, it is my game too, and its everyone else's game.
More specifically (and less directed at Red), the rules have been made to suit what our community needs and im sure they get reviewed should circumstance change. The CSR team havent made our rules, they just enforce them.

So basically you are asking how far you can push before the snap? this is probably different for each offender because each offender is different and responds in a different manner. If your attitude sucks and you offend, dont be expecting to be playing ryzom for much longer.
It's a silly question to ask Doustin... You might as well ask the age of soulsnatcher, Shadowwe's shoesize, where Xavier was born, and how much the head-honcho David earns in a year. Its not for you or us to know!

I suppose silly question for the ones that cheat. You say that cheat just depends on the attitude of the cheater ?? hahaha. I couldnt even believe what i was reading. The cheater can be the worst person in the world or the nicest one that doesnt matter at all, what matters is if he cheats. So anyone that cheats is banned forever and that is all.
You say that being a cheater is ok if you are a "nice" person, so for you some ppl can cheat without severe consequences, and then you support cheating.

there was your first mistake- trying to explain to him- souls amongest others has explained ryzoms position towards "cheaters" best to leave it at that- i would get a more intelliegent convo with my cat

Well this is (hopefully) going to be my only post on this subject... I know its kind of moved away from this angle already, but since I only just got round to reading this thread I feel that someone claiming the only way to get 40k mats is to cheat needs to be replied to.
You probably know that I got 90thousand mats in 14days, and from your attitude in this thread I'm guessing you think I botted to get it - I could of course be wrong but hey... Either way, I can safely assure you that I have never and never will bot in this game (or any other, but SoR is the only mmo I'm playing atm), I also have no idea even how to go about botting even if I did want to. You probably won't believe me, but anyone who was around me when I was getting those mats will attest to the amount of time I put into it - all the time I was digging I was talking to people on ventrilo and talking to people in /tells or whatever. Just because I'm sad/crazy enough to dig that amount of mats, and have the determination to do it at an insane speed doesn't mean I or anyone else who does similar is a cheater.
Oh yeah, and I know the CSRs do a great job on the whole botting thing, like has been said many times

pleeeeaaaase close this thread (i`m OP), hate when it gets bumped every now and then.
The CSR do a great job, no-one can deny that. If we respect them, then we should respect whatever punishment/bans they see fit to give out. End of story.
