Ryzom has been bought. We know the company name, and its street adress, that's about it.

Who they are, why did they buy Ryzom, what do they want to do with it : the most important questions still haven't found real answers.

Is it alive?
I've been wandering between MMOs... sad how there is nothing out there like Atys. Maybe if we snuck a couple kincher into W0W...
*sharpens daggers*
Heh... Unfortunately Atys still sleeps. I think WoW would know what to do with a couple of Kincher. (40 person raiding party ...) But think of Pskokoo... The Alliance would never know what hit them... or the Horde, either.

Is there hope? We don't know yet, but if the buyers turn the servers back on, it will be time to do what we all can do. Go to our friends and tell them. "Come to Atys and see what MMORPG really means!" I've got a list of my WoW friends.

And no, I haven't found anything else to replace the reality of the re-kindling of the sun over Dyron or watching the Nebula flare and shift in the sky. And nothing, anywhere, compares to the dangers and beauties of the Prime Roots.

We don't.

We know Spiderweb in London won the bid, but there's so many businesses registered at that address, it's just very likely to be a front. A counter-bid is still possible (although unlikely), which means the liquidation process might not yet have been entirely resolved either...

A name was put forward mentioning the company might end up being named so-and-so, but at this stage, we better wait for the true new owners to make their intentions known.

Anything else that might be said now would be rumors, I think...

Why doesn't someone find out who the officers of Spiderweb are? Those documents are publicly filed.

SpiderWeb International Limited, London, 26-28 Hallam, 5th Floor, W1W 6NS
That's the most we have about them. How many businesses named SpiderWeb International are there on the 5th floor of that building ? The worst that could happen would be that there's no office for that company on the 5th floor of that building.

See here.

And on this very forum, questions without definite answers.

I'm repeating myself here... Wait and see.

Oh how I wish you were right Lewy! That'd be a miracle truly... Unless Sir Cohen Corval learned nothing from the "past experience"
