Re: It's a PvP poll not a flame thread o_o

To sum things up and maybe provide a possible solution(s):
The majority agree that there is an imbalance. There may not be more Kara than Kami, but When it comes to PvP then yes, the Kara appear to have the strength.
People want OP's to have more than what they have atm.
So heres my 2 dapper:
Rebalance - Yes I agree that nurfing homins or buffing them is NOT a good idea. but what about something like this:
Guilds have a faction declaration (or natural) their outpost could then be declared kami kara or natural, in turn the guards for their outpost can be Kara Kami or Net. why not limit the amount of guards one faction can have? as an example. 500 guards per faction. so if 10 guilds from the same faction own an outpost then they can only have 50guards each, whereas if
only 5 guilds from the same faction own outposts then they could have 100 guards each (I know the numbers are rubbish but I think you get my drift) Is this reasonable? wouldn’t require a huge deal of changing to the code and would help balance things a bit better? -
downside. factions wouldn’t want people to have Q50 OP's...
Limiting - to limit the amount of people or to limit it to GvG is not suited for SoR. one of the selling points about Ryzom is that anyone can do anything at anytime. to suddenly stop people from being allowed to do what they want seems silly (obviously IMO) I cant see a way
of putting a limitation on without excluding others so I’m against it.
Crafters/foragers. YES! I think its a great idea! get more people involved. make OP's a more all round item. Have OP-Building Materials around the location of the OP. only people who are part of the battle can dig these mats. during the battle the forages must get as many
mats as possible. the more mats they get the better the Tower, Siege weapon, magic buffing machine, OP wall's strength, ground spikes/traps, mines or whatever (all or a couple?) is. The forages get the choice of putting the materials directly into use or storing them for crafters to craft them into something stronger than direct use. Crafters Automatically get a
basic stanza when their guild owns an outpost but have the option to buy better ones from the guild trainer in the GH (if they ever put them back) the skill/ability of the craft is dependant on the best craft skill that the homin has. (i.e if the homin is 250 2hsword then his ability to make stronger OP items is auto 250) - downside, would people stop PvPing to
purl work on siege stuff etc?
PvP tree? would adding a skill tree dedicated to PvP be an option? would it be a tree that can only be worked when u PvP? or should it be like a bank where you transfer already earnt levels into it (say 3 levels for every one PvP level) with levels int he PvP tree you can buy better buff's but only "versus homin" buffs. not buffs you can use against PvE. This way
people who PvP will get PvP only benefits (thus no whining from people who don’t PvP) buy doing this people can acutally lose out by wanting to PvP. losing levels for the sake of PvP (whether or not the levels are regainable is up for debate)
Making Cats more accessible. - now I don’t agree that you should get cats for nothing or very little (which is implied by some) but how about OP's have constant guards, very hard biatches I’m talking about. and if a team of people manages to kill these guards then they receive stacks of cats. whether or not this affects the amount of cats that the guild
receives is up for debate I guess.
anyways there are a few suggestions, plus I should be working on a presentation so I’m gunna
skoot off..
