- Yes getting from spawn to spawn in us is a real acomplishment.

- Killing a bos mob is nice (altogh you dont get the special item)

- I get acomplishment with my craft. I log in and when i see 5 or more of my armors sold i'm happy. Not 4 the monny but becos ppl like it and will buy it.

- The collors and quality (basic medium and high) give you variation in armor. The mats give you collor. I can tell you that somboddy running around in black or white is eather a ritsh fellow or a high level. Swords and wepons can also change with enchantments and quality. Its not magor but you can see more detail and it planly looks cool.

- At level 100+ magic i think you get other spels

The problem is I can't get there on my own, I have tried numerous times, and I'll never get rid of my DP now after all my failed attempts at getting to Dyron. that's what made me post this in the first place.
Also both Dyron and Thesos are fairly "deserty" places, so again, not much reward for two weeks of levelling moving to another place that looks exactly the same but with a different name. Still goes along the sam lines as the rest of my original post.
Actually, if you cant manage to make the Pyr -> Dyron trip, I believe its your own problem not the devs' .
I've got all the roots spawns and all the continents, yet, I'm not level 120...

The harder zones are not meant to be a holidays trip, and even higher level people than you could get killed on the way if caught off-guard.

Try and learn to sneak, and you'll see you can go almost everywhere, at level 30.
Indeed, having a kincher hit for 1200 wont make a diff if you are solo, wether you are level 30 or 200.

what would you expect to be a reward in any game?

Way don't you listen to what is said?
Noone says anything about impossible tripps, bad comunity or how hard it is to go to different places. Atleast it was not the topic of this tread. What was said before is that most places and animations looks similar. Even if you are at a higher level. What we would like to see (Me and bmaniac), the reward if you like, is for example diferent animations at higher levels (as said before) or maybe more detailed armour (as said before). It is still important to once again say: We are not dissapointed or anything, but it would be exciteing to buy increased damage 5 and see another animation then in inc damage 2. Can't you agree on that?
Sorry if I step on someones toes, but please read all posts, not only the latest if you are new to a tread. That way it is easier to stick to the point!
Fill me in if I have missed anything now bmaniac :)

Ill give it to you flat out, there is no reward. Yes thats right, sink many hours of gameplay and achieve the respected status of Lvl 250 whatever.
Walk up to a lvl 125 of the same tree and show off your uber ultimate lvl 250 move!! he will just laugh and replicate it, only less damage, and a little less sparkly. Show of your magical super sword of whatchamahoozit, he pops out the exact same one, only less damage.

The most interesting aspect of the game is that anyone can get all his skills to 250, and all the lvl 250ers will have the very same gear, dealing the exact same damage, killing mobs the exact same way. Levelling up For PvP is not viable either, as PvP is currently a first strike=win affair.

U can kill the most terrifying mofo of a boss, and get a few supreme random body parts that a harvester could have dug up much more easily. No Uber phat lewt that will give you a sense of achievement.

So basically, all the reward you really get out of this game is being in a unique and good community, which is pretty fun.
Oh wait, no, you get new titles at higher levels , yeah that makes it all worthwhile...
Am i supposed to write something witty here ?

Ryzom is based on a team game orient, people are encouraged not to be so in blunt words not to be so selfish and go for personal glory, you speak of a reward what is it exactly you are after and what would the point of it be? a new dodge viper or something?

I've mentioned numerous viable rewards, you should try reading the whole thread before replying. What is it with this concept that is so hard for people to grasp? I want to see, hear and feel that my character getting better. I don't want loot, I dont want money rewards, I want a new attack animation every few "increased damage" levels. I want new character options, not only titles, but something visible. Nothing that actually affects the gameplay. Just something that gives me the "ooh, cool I can do the new overhead-around-180-uber-swing now that I reached level 100" feeling. Nothing that makes any difference in game, just something to show me as a player that my time in Ryzom makes a difference.

At least pcheez and ethania seem to get the idea, thanks guys.

I agree with helbreat. It's simple to come up with all kinds of rewards (like the ones mentioned already: new styles at higher level etc.), but you seem to forget they are already there (high quality, titles), but they are only few. I bet on their wishlist is a long chapter with all kinds of stuff like this (for each level new animations etc.), but focus now is on content and i think that's a good thing.

I heard rumors about getting new actions when acomplishing missions. That sounds real good to me! I certainly understand what you wish for, bmaniac, but ask you to be patience. (isn't it always like that?)

My own reward in this game is my personnal acheivement and goals i set my self my highest lvl is 117 due to the fact i have always got a dp. I go out of my way to help others get to lands not seen by there eyes. I have been doing this since i was a young homin fresh out of noob school. I have helped many a clan mate, non clan mate, high lvl groups, low lvl groups and even the odd enemy by all accounts if i had lvl'd with clan mates old and new i would easy bee in the 200's though im not as unfortunatley u cant lvl exploring/guiding.

Some people have forgotten the sacrifice i have made some havent. my reward is knowing that for the few that remeber my name have come back to me and invite me to there camp fire. We sit round the camp fire drinking our yubo ale and tell our tales of the nights spent in the darkest of corners of the abyss, sneaking past the kinchers at the doorways literally keeking yer pants You dont have to have material items or visual affects to have the feeling of acheiving something or being rewarded for your skills.at the slightest noise, those where teh days.

and helbreat why do u even bother playing this game i wonder to my self at times! you ridicule it at every oppurtunity even in general posts u have to get your dig in (get it :p ) but seriosly your liek a broken record we all know your problems with harvesting and the way you can predict the future of patch releases and upcoming bugs but there is no need to remind us every dam post you make.
