a GPS, a diving rod, or crimeney, even a flare gun would be nice for after you die..........

A flare gun would be cool, it would have to autofire, of course, because you can't trigger it if you're dead. Would add a certain spectacle to events, maybe even unwelcomed. Spawn in to a region with 100 flares... "hmmm, maybe I should go back..."

I've been having issues with /target as well... seems to be connected with my draw distance. I turned down my graphics settings because of numerous crashes around Fairhaven and noticed that /target or /assist refused to work as well as it did.

Bumping this thread, as it should be required reading on arrival to the mainland if not before. Lost two to the timer in the last couple of days due to poor directions. I'm about ready to try to make a macro to give instructions, if it is possible.
It is so frustrating to hear someone cry for help, but not be able to tell you where they are, then have them run out of time while you try to explain how to give a location. And folks should never assume their would-be rescuer is familiar with the region, especially if it is not close to a city.
Yeah, bit of a rant. But hopefully one that will save someone a DP.

Perhaps this thread should be moved to the guide section, with a note saying that it was moved stickied here so folks would go and read it. Or just stickied here.
