Wait a bloomin minute, isn't that the same spot that the 'Dragon' camp was? (npc's with Dragon in name), what did they do? Move camps around?

*edit* Dyron Dragons camp is quite a way from there (500m+), and always has been. There is another bandit camp quite close tho, Ridge Ravagers.

Question about the dropping of special 'loot'...
As it is, it's going to take each and every person on the server, in an all out attempt, to kill one of these bosses and their minions. Let's say that this occurs. Yay. Boss is dead. Loot is dropped. Who gets it? The lucky avatar standing right next to the boss when it happens? The lvl 35 melee who just happened to get in the last hit, without dying, when many lvl 100+ melees have just given their lives to make it so the low lvl could do so? Everyone on the server who participated in the fun?
It would seem highly unfair if only 1 person in the group involved in the kill got special loot. It would kinda ruin the 'specialness' if everyone in the large group got the same thing. Maybe later, when smaller groups could take on the bosses and the gang. But not the way it's set up now.
Did this make sense?

Cucumber, that was a concern of mine too. If I contributed, what are the odds that I would get a boot next to the 150+s?

And thus, finally, the age old reason why we PLAY Ryzom instead of WoW, EQ2, and other "LOOT" orientated games.
I am still of the opinion that no special "armor" or "uber loot" be allowed to be given out, period.
Leave it alone, as it is, with player only made items.
Otherwise, these encounters are, quiet frankly, useless.

Maybe not so useless. It would make for an excellent event. But, instead of just one person getting the loot, maybe a system can be put in place where the whole party may get a special something. Special mats perhaps, one for each person. Like the KARAVAN CHAMPION title given to us that day in the Nexus by the Commander. The commander this time can give us a gift for the accomplishments... whatever gift the GMs can think of.

Cerest, I have asked in game, if the players would be allowed to create scripted events and submit them to the event coordinators, the answer was no, the event coordinators spend the time doing this, and that is there job.
Tons of us players have enough suggestions and ideas to create events, but when we are given a deaf ear, its useless.
Back on topic though, Until the game gets a REAL Raid organization engine (larger than 9 in one group), it will be impossible to properly code distributed loot.
Reason, simple, very very simple, so simple even a blind person can see it.
Group A and B are the primary groups who are doing all the damage, in some fluke, group A and B die do to a last second attack from the mob, group C does 10 points of damage killing off the mob that group A and B hit on for the past 45 minutes, group C gets the EXP, and even if, by some fluke of nature they program in a group reward system, group C also gets all the reward, where as, groups A and B should have gotten it.
Well, Group A and B are dead, on the ground, and ready to now log off do to the pieved off level of anger.
Group C is now happy, running around with "UBER LUTZ".
EVEN IF group A and B somehow survived, if 8 of 9 people in group A were dead, and the last person looted the corpse, BAM only he/she got something because the system won't allow a dead person to get loot.
Now lets look at another level of reality, Group B is now mad, because Group A not only got the kill, the exp, and the loot, but only 1 person got it because the other 8 were dead.
There IS NO DISTRUBUTED LOOT SYSTEM in this game, it does NOT exist.
The ONLY thing in this game that is worth while is the enjoyment of accomplishment by mass armies just slaughtering for FUN, not fighting over loot.
So what, put the loot on a boss mob, and have 90 people attack it, 10 groups of 9, how do you decide who gets the loot.
Then, that level 18 melee was there for fun, and CRAP his group got the kill somehow (level 200's in his group), and he is a very very fast NINJA clicker on the corpse. BAM level 18 melee just got the loot, congratulations, have a nice day.
Anyone for cigars? 90 people just took on a mob, of which 40 people died and didn't get a res, and 50 people left, but low and behold, 1 group, just 1 group gets exp out of the 10 groups, on top of that a level 18 melee in that group got the uber loot.
This is FACTUAL and will happen with the current system.
Until they fix the raid grouping problem, and distributed exp problem, there is no way they can work on a real working distributed loot system.
Lets face it.

A player-run event is not an official event, which is what you're talking about. There is nothing wrong with getting a very large group of players together to take a one of these tribes down, nothing at all.
