While the big red bar for the happy answer is biggest, I think it's important to notice that about 10% of the people said they would leave if some major things don't show up in the next patch. Also, another 15% responded that they were "fed up" but were waiting to see if things improve.

That's 25% of the playerbase that's pretty discouraged with things and would seem to be at risk of leaving in the next month or so if things don't improve.

To me, that's still pretty alarming. I answered with the "inbetween happy and angry" 'cause I do still enjoy the game but I'm pretty unhappy with the fact that I've been paying for a few months and still don't have a game that includes the features promised on the box (most notably, "A Story Line That Matters").

But even though I'm one that will probably stick it out until everything is implemented, I certainly don't want to see 1/4 of the playerbase quit. This will just cut down on the already sparse population as well as add to the number of people out there saying, "I tried Ryzom and it sucks, don't bother."

It's 25% of the respondents to this forum poll, not 25% of the playerbase. Most players don't come here and even read these forums, let alone post.

Forums tend to be biased strongly toward the discontented and negative side, in any case. Most satisfied customers are usually too busy enjoying the services and the product to waste their precious game time posting on forums. Not everyone can get away with posting here while at work, either.

You can spin it how you want, it's still not a good sign. And your comment that the forums are skewed towards the negative is not supported by this exact poll.

I find that players that love the game are also strong forum users. They tend to go to the forums when they can't play (i.e. work hours).

I think if you read MOST of the packaged items, and the offical web site, that they FULLY inform you that the game is GROWING and changing INTO what they promised.

I did not read on anything, anything that states that the product is finished, and will NOT change, and that EVERYTHING promised on the packaging or web site is FULLY implemented.

Anyone that expects this, even within six months of release clearly has not played ANY of the MOG's on the market, since I have yet to test OR play any of them that were "ready for prime time" on release day.

Issues I have found on EVERY game I have tested or played the first YEAR post release include (but are not limited to):
LAG
unimplemented features
BUGS
missing loot
extra loot
server crashes
characters LOST
gear ON characters LOST but character remains, but naked.

I have found that the people that post to forums, at least THESE forums, are the same type of people that watch the news, listen to news radio and read the paper (or its web site). They are people that want to have a little more than a SLIGHT clue as to what is going on.

Some players play, they don't CARE about the news, real world OR in game, and that is fine by me. People that post to forums, for the most part CARE about the game whose forums they are posting to.

I concider the forums to be a game "Town hall", and...at least for THIS game, they often work like that. The difference is...this games developers LISTEN (could it be that the GM/forum moderators INFORM the devs how we are thinking and feeling? Yep, I bet it is.)

I post while im at work, as working for a publishing company gets boring fast. So its a nice way to pass time. There are alot of people who enjoy the game but dont post on "this" forum because they have there own guild forums ect. I find Ryzom has probably thee best group of players/posters of any MMO I have played Props to all!
