I've done a bit of research, and as far as I can tell, most parry modifier materials are quartered materials. Last night I came across Kizoar Shells and Wings as having a high parry modifier. If needbe, I can get a party together to kill the Maiden Grove Kizoar boss Tang-Ka to quarter excellent quality shells and wings off of him. I'm sure these aren't the only quartered materials that give a high parry modifier.

Edit: I don't know enough about crafting and material properties to know what materials will make light/medium/heavy armor, and don't really understand how these high parry modifier materials will affect the rest of the stats on the armor. Apologies for not being able to assist on a more effective level. :)

If you guys want to do this and bring me the mats for it, I would be more than happy to make the armor with them.

As far as this goes, high parry modifier mats should be fine as long as all other stats are at least half way filled or at the very least any other mats that might be combined should be excellent or supreme if the stats are low on the parry mats.

Heavy and medium use all the same type of mats just in different amounts. Light uses all the same except the armor shell will be fiber instead of wood. I have been playing a bit with some of the animal dropped mats and actually have been able to make parry armor. I know one thing that seems to give it is the blue tail things. I am not exactly positive on the other particular mats as I was actually playing with colors when I discovered I could make the parry armor but at least I know it can be done. Some of the stats aren't quite as good using a few animal mats but not enough to make a noticeable difference as long as most of what's used is foraged I think.

That's going to take some time as I do la, ma and ha. Apparently you have to level EACH branch to level 150 to get the HQ pattern and considering I am at around 104 on average in most of them and only have 1 HQ pattern out of 16, I need about 690 levels to go... rofl

Oh yes, look at your branches and you will see or if your armor crafting isn't at least 100, then ask someone who has theirs that high. I began to suspect this myself so I checked mine and sure enough it only showed the HQ pattern for that particular peice if I looked in it's branch and when I got to the trainers this was confirmed because the only HQ pattern available to me was the heavy vest which is the one branch I got to 150. Really stinks but that's the way it is.
