The "no set progression" profession system means that whilst someone may be a level 200 2h fighter, there will be some other "profession", (defsensive magic, 1h weapons, ranged weapons, etc, etc) at which they will be quite low level.

This means that relatively "high levels" can participate in "low level" groups simply by opting to use thier lower level skills.

In this way my own guild (RoA) has successfully run hunts teaming lvl 25 "newbies" with level 150+ "vets" - without the "newbies" feeling they were hangers on :D .
you only get a problem when everyones lowest skills are over because you cant party lower lvls without killing the exp :(
