qmodal,

Your speculations certainly seem well-based on lots of experience. The only thing is, there have been many prior server reboots and patches, and none have met with this reaction. There seems to be something different this time.

Waiting was done, sometimes over an hour and the aggro mobs that now camp the teleports were not moving. How are you to find a new spot to harvest when you can not even leave the point of entry. As to 'getting use to it', we are the customers, without us Nevrax doesn't have a reason to be here.

I and other in my guild have worked long hard hours to get where we are and how are we rewarded for our efforts? Having aggro mobs plopped all over where we harvest.

hate to say it but atys was SUPPOSED TO EVOVLE, i did happen to read the box and also the main ryzom web page. i personally like having the world changing and moving, it adds some spice to the game

btw for those keeping score this has been the third or fourth time that mobs have moved in the game

I do not know where Cerest did his scouting, but everywhere OOC has been today the mob count has been higher, TowerBridge, Thesos, Upper Bog, Kami Circle, Nexus, Abyss, Umbra and the list goes on. Not only are there more mobs but they are hitting for more damage. If there are indeed less mobs in Atys then its not being reflected in a vast majority of the lands.

I guess then you will have to adjust your gameplay style to meet this new challenge then. Nothing is going to remain the same for ever and ever changes are coming. So as i keep repeating myself deal with it!

plarfman,

I respect your ability to overcome adversity, but there needs to be a balance. Not everyone wants to play a game that see-saws wildly from one patch to the next; I daresay most people would rather not do so. Your answer to that seems to be: "fine, let the sissys leave". That's great if you enjoy playing the game by yourself, but ultimately you need to find a better answer if there's going to be a robust community remaining here.

thanakar wrote: This would be nice but the mob population in roots has been doubled. I agree that change is nice and good but this recent change only affects a certain niche in the Ryzom community and goes against what was posted in the patch release notes.
Are you level 200-250? If yes, then I apoligize and you have a right to complain. If your not (as I suspect) you shouldn't even be in the roots at all. I can assure you that there are many people who will buy equipment that isn't made of the top stuff. I know for a fact you could make a killing on light armor that gives a focus bonus.

sorry if my ranting upsets you but personaly from everything I read the majority of people who are complaining about these changes should not even be in the places they are in mainly the PR. Lets face it when this game was released we all had it easy.Going places and gaining lvls was a cake walk. Now I dont know what this crazy see-saw is your talking about sure there are some issues but nothing that can stop you from playing the game. I do beleive these changes we are seeing is to fix the balance problems.

Oh I forgot... I should level my fight and magic to 250 first so I can then go into PR and possibly forage some q50 mats.
