Ryzom

I wasn't able to connect to that ftp site with either Mozilla or Explorer. I don't have a proxy server. When i click on Configure Ryzom it starts up the patcher instead of the display options. Launch.bat, configure.bat, and ryzom_recover.exe all start the patcher. Times like this makes me wish stores allowed you to return these type games.

What did it say when you tried to connect? Altho if you've already given up, n/m.

The operation timed out when trying to connect to recover.ryzom.com.

I haven't quite given up yet, i still have about 3 more weeks left on the free month. The GM doesn't seem to know what the problem is, seems like he's just throwing out random attempts as to what might work. I give him an A for effort though.

Could your ISP have implemented some sort of firewall on their end? I'd suggest sending them that URL and asking them if they can determine why you can't connect to it. If they can connect to it, then you may need to re-review your settings (I know, not really what you wanted to hear right now, sorry )

If it's a problem on my end then why did the first two files download with no problem?

Please look in your email. You have had a response to your email support submission as to what ports are needed to be opened. You can also look in the Networking FAQand please stop dragging out threads from 10 months ago and then starting new ones on the same subject.

You may also want to look into downloading the latest installer via the Ryzom downloads.
