The dos patcher was a little bit scary (warez reminiscent ). And of course the beefy initial patch is looking to be a lengthy one. But no more than I expected. Had no sweat retreiving a copy or installation. I have also played a number of mmo's at release, now I just gotta log in and see this beast in action.

I had an absolute perfect experience so far with this game, and I am having more and more fun with every minute that I play it.

The Community is second to none. The visual effects are stunning and the ambience is breathtaking. The total experience has been a complete pleasure.

hey this is sounding good so far...i had a fun experience with the beta game-wise and community-wise, i get my copy tomarrow (hopefully...its in my near town and should be trucked to me tomarrow )

In line with the theme of this thread, I wanted to thank all of the Ryzom staff for all of their hard work and letting me play the last open beta.

I would like to say that Im a long time gamer and MMO player, and I have never seen such an quick, helpful, and pleasant group of GMs that I saw in the last open beta. I submitted several tickets that ranged from bugs, game questions and even suggestions (which I was blown away that anyone even read) and about 90% of the time, a GM would respond to me within 2-5 minutes of submitting my ticket... that is simply amazing.

The game is looking great, and Im so happy that the rubber banding seems to be fixed .

I'll just throw in that I am having a blast too. I had never played SoR before I saw it being released on ebgames.com, and a friend of mine and I were looking for a new mmorpg experience after having played the current selection (EQ, DAoC, AC, AC2, CoH, AO, name it).

The game has worked almost flawlessly, the content is there, the combat and advancement systems are superb ... really a great experience. Now, of course there is a lot left to do and be implemented, but so far I am having a lot of fun.

One thing I'd also like to note is how great the community for this game is so far. I think because the game does have a steep learning curve, it keeps a lot of the l33t dudes away, leaving good solid players. A big tip of the hat to the devs, community liasons and the more experienced players who've taken the time to help me in-game. Thanks!

Want to add my thanks to the list. I fell in love with this game in OB and couldn't wait to to get my copy. Install was perfect and have had no real problems playing. Wonderful job you guys!! I know there are things that need to be fixed but considering how much works I am more than happy. All the little things like mist in the morning-the yubo packs scattering as I train ragus to the town guards-creature interaction, make the world seem so alive and I am sure they took a lot of work to make. You have created a world that amazes me every time I play. You have my heart felt thanks, wish I could hug all of you guys

All I need now is a Yubo plushy and my world will be perfect

I'd like to give the devs a pat on the back as well for an outstanding launch. I just jumped ship from more than a year on SWG to Ryzom, and I'd like to complement the devs for such a smooth launch, as the state of the game in the first week seems to be better than SWG's +1 year into it.

And kudos to the GM's and the forum liasons as well. So many threads in the SWG forums go ignored by the staff, often regarding serious issues. Here, im seeing and hearing that support is excellent. Here's to a long life on Atys!
